coating- 2weeks later, waxing

If you applied Gloss Coat, from Optimum, it states you can apply a NON-ABRASIVE wax or sealant. Have a read here...

Optimum Gloss-Coat Paint Coating

Cheers, firecorgi. My understanding is that yes, you'd be able to apply waxes and sealants but dont expect them to have the same longevity as if they were on a non coated vehicle.

I've seen several posts to this effect with opti-coat. Is there any thing to suggest this would/wouldnt be the case with opti gloss coat? Especially since by all accounts opti gloss coat is so super slick.

I don't know about the longevity with regards to applying an additional LSP on top of Opti Gloss.
a. I have not used OPTI GLOSS, I have the old discontinued Opti Coat 2.0.
b. ****I am in the camp of not applying an additional wax or sealant on top of the Opti Coat 2.0. Some are and that's fine. Just a matter of personal preference.
In my above post, I copied and pasted the link right from A.G.'s store for the OP to read with regards to the Opti Gloss and what it stated about topping.

When you say Opti Coat, are you referring to Opti Coat Guard/Pro that only Professionally insured detailers can apply or Opti Coat Gloss? The latter being the one Pro's and hobbyist can apply. There is also Opti Coat 2.0 out there to, as I have from a year ago but is no longer produced.
IMHO, I prefer to leave the coating on it's own in Opti Coat 2.0's case.

I used Permanon on top of Opti Coat 2.0 with great results.
Love bugs came off with a spray nozzle on a garden hose.

Just curious, did you try the samething but without the Permanon on top of the 2.0? Reason I ask is I can rinse the front of the wife's car with just the 2.0 and "stuff comes right off. I prefer to foam it and let the soap encapsulate the crud prior to rinsing but have done it with each method.

Again, it's all a matter of personal preference to top or not to...

I did, both ways as I was doing a bit of hot lapping of the Florida Turnpike.
I added the permanon after a lap or two and found the kritters came off a wee bit easier.
But my understanding is with 2.0 nothing you apply on top will stay on for long. Permanon is supposed to stay about the longest.
Besides I had a free sample!!!
