Coating - final wipe down prior to application

Hi as you probably have seen in my previous post I am using Carpro Lite Coating.
Thing is I want to do my girlfriends Kia Sportage but have run out of Wolfgang Perfikt prep.

What can I use instead, options on short notice?
  • Prepsol type product
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Mothers CMX Surface Prep

I would go with the Mother's product.

Make your own. 2/3 blue windex and 1/3 Acetone.
 
I have 2 bottles of Mothers that I got on clearance...it's ok....Probably won't buy it again takes too long to flash
Megs M122 is some really nice stuff to work with

I didnt mind the stuff, sometimes it left a streak or two twhich wiped right off with a dry towel. I have almost a full gallon of it....which someone that would use it lived close cuz id give it away.

I have been using a wax/grease remover that my buddy uses for his paint prep at his body shop. Its napatha based and works like a champ! Never an issue. A gallon is easily available to me when i need to replentish.

Mothers is ok if you are in a pinch. Might have to go over the paint a couple times as it’s a bit weak.

Might sound dumb here, but ive never done that and not exactly sure how. Im sure the shipping would be terrible going dang near coast to coast
