Coating to remove wswirl marks and minor imperfections?

Yeah to me that's an underlying meaning. I'm gonna contact them when I get home in 30 min. Any particular question any of you want me to ask?

Maintenance recommendations? Can it be layered? Required prep? Hardness compared to clearcoat? How is it repaired if application is botched? Durability? Cure time and requirements? What surfaces can it be used on? Sorry, haven't looked at their site, some of this may already be answered

I took a closer look at the site. It is a system of three products: Renew, Refinish, and Retain. The first claims to remove 99% of all clear coat damage. The second repairs chips and scratches. The third is a sealant, because the first step, and I quote, "RestorFX Renew is susceptible to daily wear and tear and damage from weather and improper care" The sealant is meant to be reapplied every three months.

So this RestorRX isn't quite as permanent as is claimed. You can still damage it, and it has a sealant step that has to be reapplied four times a year. I'm not seeing a benefit to using it, especially since the only way I could use it is to take it to a licensee or become a licensee myself.

This is basically the hack version of just repainting your car.

Re: Coating to remove swirl marks and minor imperfections?

I know this is an older thread but just came accrose it. Since I have had the treatment applied to my white 05 Camry more then a year ago I thought I would post my comments here. Originally my single stage white paint was oxidizing badly in places and required many hours of correction. I sealed it with WG deep gloss sealent and then some Collinite. I was tired but very happy with the result. This was my ritual each 6 or 8 months. Going forward my hood had so many chips I decided to have it repainted at my local body shop before the next round of maintance. After I complained about how much time I would spend keeping the paint looking as good as it does, the shop owner recommended the FX product as a long term fix especially to non clear coated paints. He called it clear coat FX at that time. I let him do it after the hood repaint.
I know where ever there was a chip in the paint he filled it with matching paint before the process. But that's all I know about the process. The result of the application was nothing short of miraculous. The white paint looked wet, awesome looks. To the touch the bag test would reveal a slight bit of particles but my eyes were pleased, very pleased. I was told to treat it like a new Finnish but not to use abrasives or lacquer thinners on it.
Out of boredom I put some Collinite on top and still good. Made it through the winter with only a wash or two and at springs first serious cleaning she still was looking awesome. I went out on a limb and thought why not clay it and put some WD DGPS on it as well. So I did and it's still going strong since March. I had the Camry inspected at the Toyota dealer yesterday and while parked under the lights inside the shop, all the techs we're gushing on how the car looked. It lives outside 24/7 and was last washed 10 days prior.
I think it's everything as promised and would do it again on my other cars when so inclined. We try many products in what is a hobby for me and a business for many. This is one you will enjoy the result I am sure, as I have. I dont see anything yet that would cause me to give the coating a negative review in anyway. I would on the next car do my own light correction/ clay job before they apply the coating. Try it you will like it. And yes WG DGPS is making it all last longer as well because it's another sealant and seem to play nicely together.

I've used it no biggie,we should find out what the product is ,I would use that instead of polishing a car with aio if it really worked.I find the customer has one thing on there mind and it's the smoothness of the paint if it's not super smooth they think they got ripped off.Sealants will give you extra slickness while a carnauba may have a drag feel.so even if you did a awesome job and used carnauba with the drag they will say hey did you wax it,that's when you just look at them.Same scenario with glass you can hump your ass detailing the car but if the glass has streaks they have a bad taste in there mouth, and more than likely won't return.

interesting

Finally had the chance to do an alcohol wipe on the RestorFX coating. Vehicle was a completely trashed 2009 Toyota Corolla S. It was probably parked out doors at all times, never washed since it was purchased new except by the rain, and definitely never got a coat of wax either. The roof looked like it had some sort of paint failure along with heavy heavy oxidation. Sorry but no before pictures. However you can see in the pictures the heavily worn trim and the spotclose to the trim the RestorFX guys missed.

According to the technician, absolutely no polish, compound, acid, anything. Only ResorFX coating.probably great upsell on boats and faded rv

Pictures below
1)alcohol wipe front
2)alcohol wipe back
3)vehicle after coating before wipe
3)vehicle after coating after wipe

I wiped a small 1ft x 1ft section back and forth for a good 30 seconds. Absolutely no difference. Coating held up!

I would never consider buying the car in its condition before (nor would i ever buy a Toyota Corolla), but it looks great now. I do notice "fish eyes" from dust settling on the coating. The car now looks 95% better and I am 100% sold.

Could be great on rv and boats this sounds like some revolution product.

I contacted them today and found out to be an installer you have to pay $12,500. What got me interested in it was I saw on Facebook that one of the Detail Mafia members looked like he was going to be an installer. If the Detail Mafia is interested then maybe I should be too. 12,500 is a little hard to justify unless this just stuff works and works well. I can see how this could be a good option to multiple steps of paint correction that would take days to complete.
