I recently received an order of Cobra Deluxe Jr microfiber cloths since it would appear that these are good to use with detailing sprays. Yesterday I polished my car using Pinnacle Advanced Swirl remover and then Advanced Finishing Polish. The paint was flawless under halogen lamps (with the exception of a few marks left from the polisher during the swirl removal process which I am still trying to figure out).....anyway. Before applying wax I decided to use a detailing spray (Zaino Z6) and a new (right out of the bag) Cobra deluxe Jr. Fortunately I only did the drivers door when I noticed major swirls had appeared. I then did a test in another area where I lightly rubbed the cloth along the paint and sure enough, the same haze like swirls. I then grabbed a Cobra Edgeless Microfiber polishing cloth and did not have this problem. So are the Cobra Deluze Jr cloths really not for use with detailing sprays as suggested?

Hmm...nice to know that, I'm gonna wash all my MFs now before I use it.

What do you need the lamps for? I always see people have these huge lamp when they are waxing. I am new to all this. Do I need one when I'm washing and waxing. I don't wash or wax at home because where I stay there's no garage and driveway we park on dirt and such. I don't want to wash my car there either because no shade. I go to a place to wash it and its in a shade then I wax it there too. Never used a light before confused what it does do i have to have one?

The lamps pretty much enhance any defects you would see in the paint. Have you ever detailed a car and thought "that looks great" just to pull it out into the sun and see haze marks all over the place or that awful look you get when headlights from a car shine on your car. Well having halogen lights helps you see these problems and fix them. I just picked up a set last week. Detailed my wifes car without the lights on and when I thought it looked great, turned the lights on and said "Well look at that, I have to start all over again" :)

LOL I think ur right about it. i need to get a pair I guess. But the biggest problem how do i use the halogen light if i'm at a car wash place. I'm not at home. So how do I do it?

How do you use the PC at the car wash? All you need for the halogens is an outlet.

I too suggest washing any towel before first use, just to be safe. Always remember the cd test, when in doubt test it on one of them first. Never had an issue with Cobra Fluffies myself.

I don't use a PC. Wait so with the Pinnacle solution i bought I can't do it by hand? I think if i ever decide to use the PC I'll have to do it at home but I don't do it at home much because I don't have a shade to do the car in. That's Y i hand wax it. With the Pinnacle interior/exterior kit i bought for my car. I can do it by hand cant i?

you can use the Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion via hand , P21S makes a nice paint cleanser by hand too.

Sorry about that, got a little confused. While good lighting is always a good idea, it's very important when correcting paint (scratch and swirl removal) especially if you want something in the 95 - 100% perfect range. I don't think you need halogens to wax your car, as long as there is adequate lighting to see what you're doing. Halogens would only make imperfections stand out, without a buffer and polishes, you'd have a very hard time doing anything about them anyway (other than a glaze).

No I'm saying with the Pinnacle Exterior/Interior Kit I bought, can I wax the car by hand or do I have to use a PC to wax the car with the kit.

No, you do not need a buffer to apply waxes or sealants. I (and many others) prefer to apply waxes and sealants by hand.

The Jrs have never caused an issue here. What is a head scratcher is it happened with Jr. but not Edgeless.
The only times that I feel that I've reintroduced swirls right away is removing dust. I've never heard this addressed but I swear that polish dust must have some abrasives that didn't break down.

you seem to be jacking alot of threads on the forum. you should either search for similar info, PM the person who posted something that prompted you to veer off-topic, or make your own threads instead of dwelling on stuff that is ancillary to the topics at hand in these threads...

it seems almost every thread i've been in so far on this forum, and it's only been a few days, you are inside jacking. just a heads up man, no offense ; )

Oh sorry, I tried to create thread and I haven't got responses so I go into other thread to see what people opinion on the same thing. Sorry for doing that. Just confused and tried to make my own threads but didn't get a response.
