Coffee

Our daily slurper, within a reasonable price range, is Community Coffee from Louisiana....dark roast. I've lived in Hawaii in the past and Kona coffee was the best I've ever had. The price is a little restrictive where we live now so Community it is.

Tonya, maybe there is a fortune to be made with your Monkey!

Well i have to go with Community Coffee. Made just right it tastes sooo good, but my grandma seems to be the only one who has made it just right for me (i have been drinking coffee since i was 5), i cant make it like hers, she boils it or somthing like that.
No one has put down so i guess i will, i find that MCDONALDS has some good coffe too.

For everyday OTC coffee Folgers or Maxwell house meduim roast but online I love babyscoffee.com from the Fl keys. I love their Morning Roast and Hazelnut Supreme blends. I also have a coffee maker that uses a water filter before it goes through the coffee beans and paper filter. Makes the coffee so much smoother. Almost every day I need/want a cup of joe to get started ;)

I'm not a coffee person, but when it comes to coffee, I like to taste the bitterness a bit, but I still put cream and sugar. I just don't put a lot. I also like drinking green tea :p

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

"Kopi Luwak or Civet coffee is coffee made from coffee berries which have been eaten by and passed through the digestive tract of the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus). The animals gorge on the ripe berries, and excrete the partially-digested beans, which are then harvested for sale. This process takes place on the islands of cPanel®, cPanel® and cPanel® in the Indonesian Archipelago, in the cPanel® (where the product is called Kape Alamid), and the coffee estates of south cPanel®. cPanel® has a similar type of coffee, called weasel coffee which also comes from the droppings of weasels after they eat the coffee berries. In actuality the "weasel" is just the local version of the Asian Palm Civet.
Kopi Luwak is the most expensive coffee in the world, selling for up to $600 USD per pound...."

YUM!!
Nothing opens my eyes first thing in the morning like a steaming cup of something that has previously passed thru a civets butt.

Ok, it seems that there would be an easier/more appealing way to harvest these berries besides waiting for a little rodent to poop them out after half way digesting them. Is harvesting them by machine too much to ask??:D

?
I imagine the civet's digestive tract does something (good) to the coffee beans.
You can bet if I had to pick thru the poop to get the beans, I'd charge you out the a$$ for them too.:D
FMINUS: Seriously, How did it taste?

For me its Dunkin Donuts coffee. Maybe its because they use 18% cream instead of half and half.

LOL why don't we just try coffee berries passed through all animals and see which one tastes the best.....sike :p

Starbucks Caramal Frap, and Dunkin Doughnuts Iced Coffee (whens its good, seems after 10-11 you get left over grindy tasting coffee lol).

But nothing beats a good ol' strong shot of Cuban coffee (real expresso)

Cuban coffe is not real expresso it's coffe flavored tar. The is only one cuban restaurant near me that's 30+ minutes away run by to white guys. There is no way for me to get me Milanesa de pollo :(.

hey maybe some people in here would know, is ther ANY instant coffee that does not taste like complete crap? I have one of those instant hot water things on my sink (anyone who likes tea/hot chocolate and doesnt have one is missing out!) and sometimes if I want a quick cup it would be nice to have instant that wasnt gross. Im gonna gues all you guys are gonna tell me no, instant is garbage. But just checking...

I just use Folgers but not really instant, put a scoop in the cup, 2 sweet n' lows, boil some water and add, then some cream......yummy lol. For some reason I hate brewed coffee, never like the taste, must have inherited that b/c my mother is the same way.

They actually used to go around in the forest to gather the beans, but now they farm them. Probably more efficient method.

I've heard the smell is not too good when they are roasting the beans, but that the coffee is not bad.
