Cold weather washing?

Thanks everyone for the replies . I guess this guy was wrong as i suspected , but doesn't hurt to get some feed back and some useful ideas from all of you here at auto geek. Thank you all a god bless :dblthumb2:
 
I Used the hybrid or "gary dean" method today, worked great. Temp got above freezing, around 38 F, used warm water ONR for bucket of MF, my waterless wet diamond Blackfire is room temp or just below. Used the Chinchilla MF AG has been selling last year on BOGO to dry it. Here are some pics, no marring at all, tires not done today.

Seems like the opposite would be true. If anything, cold weather should make the paint harder and tougher to scratch. With good technique, I can't see any difference. I wash in ambient temps from 40 to 105. Can't tell any difference in the paint.

well wait a minute? your washing cars and you cant tell if your scratching them? then I guess you need to look a little closer, get your eyes checked or most likely your not scratching them by using cold water. I didn't mean this to sound cocky but more sarcastic, actually your the perfect person to test his theory and put it to rest...

I just use their pressurized water and high power blow dryer. I'll do a rinseless wash (GDWM), top off my Tuff Shine, clean the wheels in a traditional manner, and apply a coat of Wet Glaze 2.0.

While its not freezing out, its feels pretty cold.
 
As long as you're practicing safe washing techniques, you will not have to worry at all unless the water has ice in it or their is ice forming on the finish while you're washing.

Last week I broke the oil pan on my Trans Am. Got it towed home and I knew right away I needed to wash the oil off the rear of the car. Rinsed as best I could and then got out my buckets and dawn and APC to wash. It was 30F outside at 11pm at night. Needless to say I had to stop midway to get more warm water because the rinse water was freezing over causing ice to form. In that case, yes you will and can induce scratches/marring. Just be wise and use common sense and you should be golden.

I know that I am not scratching my customers car . I was just asking if anyone had ever heard of this. Due to a coment I had recevied from someone . But I understand your coment . Thanks
