Hi,
I've been using Collinite 845 and want to try something else.

I'm thinking non-permanent so not OptiCoat etc.

Considering;
1. Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection
2. Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
3. Pinnacle Liquid Souveran

Which product will come closest to 845 durability BUT give a richer shine?
Thanks, hoping to order today during the sale.

Or is there something else you'd recommend?

Blackfire Wet Diamond will come the closest in my opinion and experiences. Then the Wolfgang comes in a close second. Both these products are very similar except that the Blackfire has been reformulated with special polymers and last longer, due to the Polycharger in it.

Liquid Souveran I am unsure about.

I HAVE ALL THOSE.

845 is still my favorite.
blackfire is a relay slickness maker . East on/off
DGPS is ok also. 50 feet deep
pinnical i have not tryed( dont realy us carruba)

Bob, my sincere apologies from not answering sooner!! I did just a minute ago. However... Along with that reading your post here I will say durability being important to you.... Go with Menzerna Power Lock. If looks are your most important item than it's Four Star UPP followed by BFWD... Now I want to back track. Being silver I will recommend Ultimate Paint Guard Plus, 3 coats.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of these. They are all far superior to the non user friendly and overrated 845. (apologies 845 lovers) :) I know my personal opinion is just that and we all have our favorites. If we all liked the same thing we would only have one product on the market.

Out of the three you are looking at in your post there I'll go BFWD.

Would you guys recommend 915 over 476? 476 nets you more wax per dollar, and they both have raving reviews. The difference I see is that 476 is just a little more difficult to remove, but both have pretty much the same durability and look.

I love my bfwd and would say go for that. I had 845 and didn't like it. I also used wolfgang and limed the slickness and look of bfwd better.

+2

Agree - 915 will outlast 845, and look better, too - more depth, with that nice carnauba glow.

:iagree:

.

I have to disagree with you here buddy! You well know I have many many waxes but one thing I can NOT say about 845 is that is not user friendly. Have you tried my JTWO method with 845, Corey? I seriously think 845 is very easy and will outlast 95% of the products on the market when considering traditional waxes/sealants!

I would choose 915 just about every time over 476. Whites would be the only time I would choose 476 over 915 due to 476's ability to add amazing gloss where 915 adds some great depth while adding gloss.

What's the JTWO method? I'm having problems with 845 no coming all the way off or something. The next day after removing it, it seems to have a cloudy haze.

That's easy, need to go much more thinner on 845; more than you are comfortable. Odds are good that if you see 845 going on you are putting it on too thick.

Back to the topic at hand, Corey's suggestions are fine. I don't have a problem with them. In the end we put all our feedback out there and it is up to the reader to make up their mind. What we cannot measure in the thread is how much the original poster simply wants to use another product line besides Collinite.

Good discussion.

If your in Minnesota (as your name might suggest) and near the cities, PM me and I can let you have some BFWD to try out.

I knew you would buddy!! Yes, not only did I JTWO.... IJTFOOTMFW! Still.... Could be the climate or what not. I have no idea but it's not easy no matter how thin. I mean it's workable if very thin but by no means pleasurable. You know I started with Ultima and it's one of my fav 2 to this day so I definitely know the meaning of thin.

You are the master of Nuba my friend but I just have different results than you on this one. I suspect there's a lot of people that don't like 845 that don't say anything since once something is popular on the forum not too many people want to speak up about not having the same experience.

There are always variables buddy. Sometimes uncontrollable by us and others that are controlled by us. In the end we have to use what works for us. But at least give it another shot one day and let me know if you had the same results.

This is a good thread and I hadda bring it back alive.

There is a lot of hype on all the LSP's in these forums. 845 goes on and comes off easy like other carnauba's I tried. It doesn't reduce the clarity I worked so hard to achieve in my prep. It sticks around after hose, rinseless and waterless washes. I don't think I could ask for more from a LSP. Is it something special compared to all other LSP's out there, in my experience, probably not.

Liquid Souveran I am unsure about.

If you look at this massive sealant test, the polycharged products did not last as long as their non-charged brethren.

The Biggest Sealant Test ever! - Detailing World

Also, Wolfgang outlasted everything tested, tying Zaino for max durability.

Something to think about when choosing.

Collinite marque de elegance is the best wax I have ever used as far as bringing out that wet look everyone drools over and durability of 6+ months And more.

No doubt collinite 476,915,845 really any collinite waxes have stood the test of time and still are top dog against any wax/sealant to date nothing "Non permanent" comes close and for the $$? Ok don't wanna leave out duragloss products and again look at some of those $$ :dblthumb2:
