Collinite #476 OR Finish Kare 1000p Hi-Temp Wax

I am pretty stuck in between both of these. I plan on getting some 845, but I would like a paste version of a long lasting wax. Collinite states the 476 is "The Permanent Auto Wax" it does catch your attention. Plus reading reviews of long durability especially after two coats. The only thing is some people mentioning some troubles removing the wax. I know you need to spread it THIN and I would most likely be patient doing that process. Now the FK1000p seems like a similar product except for the fact it has a synthetic formula comapred to the 476's carnauba based formula. I have heard the 1000p has easier removal also.

Both companies say these are both very long lasting and with any one I would get, I would end up putting two coats on my own vehicles. So I don't see the need for 24 oz. of wax, that one application can last very long.

Any feedback of any kind is appreciated!

I got 476 plan to use it before winter here in Wisconsin . no idea how hard it is to get off .will u be using a da to apply ? wont matter to me how hard it is to get off, I just want the protection quality of it for the winter. 845 is very durable too and super easy to apply and remove , IMO . and one bottle at $15 , u can prob get like 10-15 or more apps out of one bottle .

I haven't planned on using a DA. But I have thought of trying it, so I might as well and compare and see what works best. And I agree on the part of just getting the protection.

I have to agree with Poweraid, Colly 845 is very durable and is IMO on par with 476. I had only one coat applied to my car and it beaded all the way up to the 5 month mark (it isn't garaged). 845 is much easier to apply than 476 and removal is definitely easier but both are hard to remove compared to other waxes (only my OTC stuff in my experience). I have found that applying REALLY thin and removing almost immediately (around 1-2 minutes) helps it co-operate and prevents hazing and wax hologramming. It must be it's solvent content that makes it harder to remove. But in terms of durability and looks, for the money it can't be beat. Oh and DA application is the way to go for 476 :xyxthumbs:

I have heard Collinite 915 Marque d'Elegance is an amazing wax at it's price point, with a higher carnauba content and durability not that far off 476 and 845. I will definitely be on my next detailing shopping list!

Made up my mind! Going to get some 845 and FK1000p. Maybe even layer both of them:xyxthumbs:
