Hello All,

Will a paste wax like Collinite 476 still be a "necessity" if I am already doing the below?

Wersktat twins (on a quarterly basis)
OCW (monthly)

I'm set to buy a gallon of ONR and thinking back and forth if I will include a Collinite 476. Looking back how I take care of my car, it seems I'm buying this just for the sake of completing my kit (already developed a AG buy syndrome)!

PS Another thing leading me not to buy a Collinite is I don't plan to spend on a polisher :)

Thanks,
Dino

the 476 would be overkill imo, especialy if you are goin to use ocw on top of the werskatt stuff-the water will go into convultions when it hits your car without 476

Thank you for validating my concern :)

OCW had durability in the 3-5 mos. range easily. An application every month seems like overkill.

Unfortunately not over here in the Philippines (where both gearguru and myself are located) - the combination of monsoon and typhoon rain, tropical heat and humidity, and the industrial pollution of a developing city is pretty harsh on any LSP. OCW gets about a month, 845 is six weeks to two months, and you're doing pretty well to get 476 to last three months.

Yeah, adding 476 to your routine is a bit of overkill, but here at AGO we're all about overkill. If I had to work without my polisher, I'd go with 845 instead. Use a bit of OCW or DG Aquawax as a drying aid from time to time when you do your ONR washes and you'll probably go from Spring to Fall easily.
