Collinite 845... Now what?

The way #845 makes my paint look when done it finishes more like a nuba but with a bit more "pop" than a nuba, so there's something going on in that nondescript bottle!

I can't wait to try the other 2, they have quite a following as well, just wish they were in a bottle like #845 is, oh well, either is Fuzion and I love using that too.

SEXY depth on dark metallics that make you feel you can reach your whole arm down inside them

Well I actually bought a container of Collinite #476 (8 oz size) this past weekend. I did this to have it on hand for the fall detailing season, both of our cars, as well as my buddy Hectour's MS3 and his wife's Scion xB will be coated with #476 before the weather changes. This will leave me with a 4 car test of this product that's said to have amazing durability and based off of what I've seen with #845, I expect it to come through for me. Our of the 4 cars, mine is going to the only one out of the elements as I've got a parking spot in our underground parking lot, the other 3 cars will be outside 24/7 and not washed on a regular basis like mine will, so I'll be focusing on my soon to be wife's ride on a week to week basis to see how it holds up, the other 2 cars I'll have to get their inputs and go from there.

As far as #915 goes, well, I"m going to save that for the spring clean-up for the spring of 2014. In addition to that, hey, I've gotta have something new to look forward to to buying over the winter monthes, in addition to the Speedy Prep towel (fine grade) and maybe some CG's sticky wheel cleaner and whatever else tickles my fancy and God knows what that's going to be over the upcoming "off season" (well, off season for us here in the midwest, LOL)

I now have the Collinite #476, any tips/tricks or input you guys whom have it/use it wanna add, PLEASE feel free or I'm going to make a new post for it, thanks!

I actually applied the Collinite #476 to my cars glass. Did all the windows and then removed, came off VERY EASY and I think I may have even applied it a little thick. The underground garage doesn't have the best lighting but even still, no issues w/ removal!

Can't wait to try this out on the cars in the fall!

Sounds good man... Looking forward to seeing your results. Also, I have applied 845 to glass before and if works just as good as Rain-X. I would think the 476 would be the same or better.

In my 43 + years playing with waxes and sealants there is one thing I have noticed. Using waxes (Carnuba products) the pictures with billions of little beads looks impressive. However when the sun comes out and cooks those little beads you have billions of water spots. Using sealants such as Zaino, Duragloss etc. where they tout sheeting over beading I have not had problems with water spots.

Huh? Zaino beads like no other...and the car I use it on has the water spots to prove it! I can never get DG to bead like Zaino (maybe it's the ZFX).

I always use #601 with all my DG products but I'm pretty sure its no where near as concentrated as ZFX is. On the other hand, maybe Sal is a great salesman and get away with charging $20.00 for that teenie, tiny little vile and the 4, 2 oz empty bottles. I have used Zaino 2 summers ago and in the early days of getting my CRZ but since coming here to AG I've found other products to use/try/like on my car. That said, I have nothing but positive things to say about Zaino!

Even when I use 601 I can never get DG to bead like ZFX'd Zaino (although I don't have the DG 101, only 105, 111, and 151). Zaino is a good product, although a little bit of a nuisance here in NJ since we can't order from the Zaino site (although the PA distributor that covers us for the internet is very good, even though he doesn't really have a web store and...it's a long story).

It is a little disappointing when so many of the Zaino products seem to have DG dopplegangers...but there is no DG ZFX and it would seem you can only get Z8 from DG by boiling AW down to a more concentrated form...
