IMO, as well as many others, you need to stick with a sealant on white as adding depth to white is nearly impossible. Being a big fan of DG I'd give DG #111 a shot, mixed with #601, ofcoarse. #111 is a pure sealant, no cleaners at all, the #601 just makes it last longer and better overall product.

Have you ever used wet glaze 2.0? what do you think about adding this on top of my selant/wax combo? purely to get a more wet look? is it a waste? i haven't tried it yet.
 
On a well prepped paint surface and one sealed, a glaze is a total waste of money IMO! I have never used a glaze based off of what I've read here.

I kinda sort of agree with you. IMO glazes it seems has a place in detailing such as preparing for a show and you know your going to rework the finish later. I also think it's a waist of time when people glaze then seal. Although some people don't have a problem, sealant, waxes and coating need a clean suface ti bond to and glazes fill the paint with oil. Just my .02
 
The last part is exactly why I would never use a glaze and honestly most of us here maintain our cars to a high level and don't need any "voodoo".

I'll admit I've found glazes to serve a purpose. I'm starting to work them more into my fall detail routine when prepping my cars for winter.

I've realized that during the winter months my cars are exposed to all manner of abuse, they are constantly dirty, and they only see touchless washes which never get them totally clean. During that time period a flawless surface is rarely seen and due to the environmental abuse, is very short lived. I find it pointless to spend the time correcting the surface to near perfection. With that in mind, I quickly hit the vehicles with a glaze, put a super durable LSP on it like the 845 being discussed here, and call it a season.
 
While I completely agree about going into the winter with a DD wouldn't you rather have a product applied to the car that offers "actual" protection rather than one that gives looks due to oils or whatever glazes have in them, just sayin'?

I never use the glaze as an LSP. I couldn't imagine hitting a DD with a glaze and not toping it...no matter what time of year. I always put something on top of the glaze. This past winter I glazed with Black Hole and topped it with 845. I got 6+ months out of the 845, so I don't think there was anything in the Black Hole that lessened the ability of the 845 I put on top. The bonus was the combination of those two products looked fantastic!

If all goes well, I'm going to try Amigo topped with 845 to see how I like it this fall.

i too was looking into PB Black Hole and Colli 845 as a combo but was afraid i will loose in durability!
but you have some positive experience. thanks for sharing!
 
What is the general Shelf Life of 845. I have a bottle from 5 years ago that was dedicated for use on the boat. Storage has been in a basement with no instances of freezing/ the house is kept "on" year round even tho it's a summer place.

I've had the same bottle featured in this article in my garage for a couple years now. A quick shake and it's good to go. :dblthumb2:
 
tried it, finally, today on a DA with finishing pad. my impressions so far are.. WOW! it goes so easy and a little is more! much more!
this is how much i've used on a BMW X5 except roof and bumpers (line is on top, where the bubbles are):

Those are my go to products. Can't beat them for durability.
 
Used it for the first time on Fathers Day,and I'm hooked,got lots of compliments on her shine!
 
can i top it up with say Poorboys Nattys Blue? i miss the "warm" look. i find Colli's look more like of a sealant. am i the only one?
 
After some txts with a buddy in FLA w/ an EVO X he took my suggestion and bought some #845, score another win for Collinite!
