Collinite 845 - the "Rocky Balboa" of waxes

I just put some on last weekend, on my Tundra. Using my GG ROP with a red 5.5" HT red low profile pad it only took 30 minutes to put on and remove. I took a sprayer head off an empty bottle of WG spritz sealant and cleaned it out and put it on the collinite bottle. I then just sprayed the pad directly and went to work on the paint. This was a very easy method to apply! I didn't find it very slick initially after wipe off, but the next morning it really came alive. Very easy product to use and gives very nice results. This will be a staple in my arsenal from now on.

I'm a believer after reading this. Just added it to my cart at AG. Do I need a sealant if I'm using 845?

No sealant needed. Just put on a couple of coats and you'll be good to go for a good several months at least. :dblthumb2:

One that always comes to mind is a blind test done years ago. I can't give the details because I don't remember them all. I do remember Collinite 845 finished 2nd among some very very high end boutique waxes (I know at least one wax was over a 4 digit $). Maybe someone will remember more details, and jump-in.

how does the 845 compare to the 476? in reading the description, it sounds like the 476 is the durable stuff?

I have some gold class on my civic which has been tortured brutally the past two days. Straight out of the garage in to non-stop rain. It's pretty strong with tight little pellet beads. Nice gloss. I couldn't help myself and ordered 845, I'm dying to try some!!

I recall reading it. The majority of people couldn't tell a difference between the +$1000 waxes and the $15 Collinite. I'd bet a million dollars that the Collinite would outlast it too.

476 might outlast the 845 depending on conditions. But the 476 is harder to remove compared to the 845. Can't go wrong with either of them though!

How long can you wait till you can apply another layer of 845? I have a friend of mine coming over tomorrow to have me clean her car, and I'm debating on if I should do two coats on it, if it would even matter.

I've used both 845 and 476. Both go on and off easy when spread thin using a PC and a Lake blue pad. Two months later outside 24/7 and still looks great on a 1996 Ford daily driver. Good car to practice and try products. Sit the 845 bottle in the sun to keep liquid after shaking.

After hearing so much about 845, I was wondering if it could be appied by hand, as I do not yet have a PC?

Shake shake shake, Shake shake shake, Shake your Collie! Shake your Collie! :D
