Collinite 845

I just received my Collinite 845 today for the first time and I have a question that may seem dumb. I know it says it is a liquid wax but I didn't think it would have the consistency of water. Is this normal?

I just received my first bottle and asked AG the same question. Yes, it has a milky consistency. A quick tip for easy application: transfer it to a spray bottle or put a sprayer on the collinite bottle and mist your pad, then apply to the car. Makes it very easy to get an even thin coat.

It depends if its in a normal range of temperature or in a hot garage. I will take some pictures to show you, but our warehouse is cooled very nicely and it is thick in the bottle here. But if in the garage it's more watery.

Fear not my brethren!

Collinite 845 has to be the most temperature sensitive wax I've ever had the pleasure using. It has a pretty narrow temperature window where it becomes comfortably creamy. If I had to guess I suspect this is between 75 and 85 degrees.

If it's cold, Collinite 845 become rather thick. If this happens place it in some hot tap water for a few minutes then shake vigorously.

If it's hot, Collinite 845 turns to water. If this happens place it in cold water, shake vigorously, so the product can re-solidify to the creamy consistency you'd expect.

What I can tell you is neither thick or thin will affect its performance. I've squirted it watery on a pad and applied as usual, nice and thin, then buffed. I've even scooped some when thick with a Popsicle stick when cold, placing it on the foam pad then worked into the paint.

Got mine in the winter and it looked like the first pic, left it inside the house came back later and it looked like the second pic thought It was some kind of magical wax..

Either soak your bottle in some warm to hot water for about 5 minutes or let the bottle sit in the sun. Once shaken up correctly it should be the cnsistency of milk. I love 845 as a topper over BFWD on dark metallic colors. So slick and the flake just pops out.

I find a couple mins in the sun and a really good shaking and it goes from thick to milky in no time!
