Collinite Insulator Wax in a spray bottle? How is that possible?

I would believe that shaken well enough, my regular bottles of #845 could be thin enough to be sprayed. My mind goes to a simple breeze, I would think that spraying #845 could be a cleanup nightmare like any other spray wax that I have used.

Maybe it's Murphy's Law or just my luck, whenever my hand makes contact with a spray bottle the wind starts to blow. I would end up just spraying it on my foam applicator and applying like a paste wax anyway. The only benefit I see in a spray bottle is that I wouldn't misplace the cap.

True. That is how I have applied Spray waxes in the past also.

Looking at that bottle closely, it appears to say paste wax on the top of the label. Sprayable Paste Wax?

Maybe the spray cap was the only cap they had on hand at the time?

Matt put the sprayer cap on the 845 sample bottle to test for himself its spray-ability as there was a thread about using it with a sprayer on Autopia. It was used for a more controlled amount and easier application. Just spray on the paint and spread.

That's actually my desk and the picture was taken from the third page of this Autopia thread - Collinite Spray Wax - Autopia.org

I decided to try a spray cap (after shaking vigorously, 845 goes from a paste to a very thin liquid), and it actually sprays a very fine mist.

That is interesting. Maybe I will have to try a sample of the Collinite with my next order just to see how it works. Do you sell the little spray caps?

Just put "Include small black fine mist sprayer as per Matt" in the shipping comments of your order.

Actually I saw the picture in the AutoGeek Gallery. At the time I did not realize you used it in a thread on Autopia.

Thanks for the link the Autopia thread. I'll check it out when i get home because some of the pics are blocked here at work.

Thanks for the note as well

Good idea. I've struggled sometimes to not apply too much 845 onto the applicator down here in Florida. Anything above 70°F and it's almost the consistency of water. Adding a flip-top cap off an old Meguiars bottle helped greatly but sometimes too much will gush out. Have to try out a sprayer!

funny how quickly this idea has spread to other forums ...
