I had the same question.

When you say "dab", do you mean cram it in and move it around a little to transfer the product to the pad?

I'm imagining my 5.5" pads are bigger than the opening of the 915 can so I'm trying to figure out the mechanics, should I buy some next Spring. So far I've come up with two other ideas.

1) Take the bottom off the can with a can opener and keep the product in a zip lock bag
2) Use a putty knife and spread some on the pad.

Once I can get the product out of the can I'll be home free. A little trial and error will show the right amount to use.
 
Mike Phillips presented a concept of removing the entire block of wax from the container and holding it with a microfiber glove. I'd like to avoid that if possible because I can see me dropping it! So I'm left with the idea of putty knife too.
I was just curious if anyone had other ideas.

You can use the knife trick or just rub the face of the over the wax.

You can use a can opener if you want as well.

Just do not over load your pad. If you lay down 915 too thick you will have a heck of a time removing the wax but you may build some shoulder strength :props:
 
I just received my first bottle of 845 this week. I was excited until I opened it.

It was thick and not runny at all. I stuck my finger in it, and sure enough, it was paste like (yuk for my finger smelling industrial).

Anyway, so did i get a bad batch? I remember seeing a dude on YouTube POURING his onto his applicator!! Like a thick liquid, but liquid nonethelss.

Take a look at the first post on this thread I just provided. What you have is totally normal. Warm up the bottle, shake it REALLY well, and you'll be fine.

Totally normal. I went to toys r us and bought a $10 baby bottle warmer. Before I ise 845 I just warm up the bottle in the bottle warmer, shake it up a little and it turns to a perfect consistency. Im the MAN
 
For winter I would use 476s then top with 845. I have all 3 and have used them for over 30 years.
