Collonite 845 Inside Headlight?

Yeah I know opticoat is well loved. That's why I'm waiting on Opti-Lens because its opticoat with uv protection. I think chris@autogeek said February availability...

My recommendation would be to not put any lsp inside the lights. Just make sure you seal them well. I would do a IPA wide down at most. You want to make sure that it is air tight. Put all protection on the outside of the lights.

I have taken apart a hand full of lights and the biggest concern is making sure it is air tight. Any tiny air wave will cause condensation over time and will lessen the length of life of the lights.

Newer lenses are actually vented to allow air expansion from temp changes. If a lens is slightly foggy or has tiny water spots (or even small amounts of actual condensation in the corners) it does not necessarily mean the seal has failed. Manufacturers have stated this is a normal condition. However if you have water pooling at the bottom or a dried waterline, you may want to replace the lens housing or take it apart, clean, and reseal it properly.
