I cant do it, folks. I love detailing and love being able to do more with a different product, but $85 for a container of wax is just eating me up. I dont have a ton of cash these days and just CANT DO IT!

That said, whats the closest comparable paste, in terms of shine? Im not all to worried about durability, but if I can find something at half the cost, I'd jump at it. I frequently use Natty's (have red, blue, and white) and also have some Mother's California Gold Pure Carnauba (got it because I loved the smell). Thinking about just getting a large jug of Souveran liquid while its on sale and call it good. Also thought about going with P21S 100% in replacement of the Souveran. Im just afraid Im going to get some other stuff and STILL end up buying the Souveran paste. Suggestions?

Feed back please

That's exactly what I would expect would happen... Yes, there are a lot of paste waxes out there that look "close" or "similar" to Souveran... and No, even though the wax costs more than twice as much, it doesn't look twice as good... but still, if you're like most, you won't be satisfied until you see for yourself what it looks like on your car. I suggest going ahead and laying out the cash if you can, save the 30 - 50 dollars on whatever wax you're thinking of buying that you still won't be happy with no matter how "close" it is to Souveran. If you can stand it, wait for the next big AG sale (or your birthday)...

Maybe this sounded like a loaded question. I know how to run a search and have read a million things concerning wax on the forums. I guess my point was to try and get some support along the lines of a "next best thing" aspect. Shopping cart is still sitting, unordered. Might still get the Souveran, since my birthday isnt until August.....

i have to say outa all the waxes ive tryed over the years ive yet ever found anything that gave me that awesome glossy shine like souveran!! by far the best wax ive ever used. !! go for it!

Pinnacle Sig Series 2, Max Wax, or Chemical Guys Pete's 53 are nice waxes. You could also try Pinnacle Liquid Souveran which is offered at GREAT prices right now. All of the above are much less than 1/2 the price of Souveran Paste.

Meguiar's Gold Glass hands down. That, or you can also do M7 with M26 which will equally do just the same, if not better.

get the Souveran or youll likely kick yourself, look to the Sizzling Shine Kit for best value.

check out ocdgarage you can pick up same product (souveran) for less.
You may not get a free micro fiber towel but if you are like me I have
fifty of them already.

Nattys Blue hands down, I have both and NB is slightly wetter (RMG or ##-EZ and NB is the wettest combo around) while Souveran maybe looks a tad richer if that makes sense.

Do a search on OCDgarage before ordering. I believe they have a bad rap for not delivering ordered products. I may be wrong but I remember reading about that over on autopia.

I second trying out Lusso Oro, has a similar look and is about half the price. Or just save up, 8oz of souveran will last a long time if you're just using it on your own personal cars.

Souveran is hard to beat. You could get similar looks from PB's Natty's Blue, 4* UPP, and 4* USWP. At least in my experience.
As Surfer stated, Souveran does have a richness to it thats hard to mimic.

Natty's Blue if on a budget...next step up would be DP Max wax, SSII, Pete's 53...or even 50/50...

Thats the best tip I've seen in a long time. Did the search, read the comments, did more research. OCDgarage looks very bad. Thanks for the heads up.
