So besides from the AJ thing, I was able to find a local dinner that has Velocity Channel so we will be having a "viewing party" there today. So excited!!

I'm just curious Mike, not familiar with branding, that's all.

It's simply letting people know her name.

Most "car guys" that have watched Velocity for years and specifically Overhauling with Chip Foose would recognize her and her name.

But there are likely plenty of people that are not familiar with the Velocity Channel or Overhaulin that might not recognize her.

Someone at bcii designed her shirt, my shirt and the shirt for our team members. Wasn't me but bcii is the TV production company that made Chip Foose a household name so I give them the benefit of the doubt and figure they know what they are doing.

Cool! :dblthumb2:

Sometimes my wife and I and some friends will go to a local restaurant called Fresh Catch and if we ask they will switch the TVs over to Velocity Channel.

We know most of the regular employees there and most of them are "Car Guys".

Anyone else reading this that doesn't get the Velocity Channel, this is tip that you can use to watch the show. Visit your regular hang-out, i.e. sports bar and see if they get the Velocity Channel and if so ask if for 30 minutes tonight at 7:30pm Eastern Time if they would switch the channel so you and your buddies can watch the show.

Cruz / Mike..... Brilliant idea!!

Time to look for a restaurant :)

Can someone tell me why you can't watch the show on Velocity's website? I missed last weeks episode and was trying to watch it.

Just a guess, but I think they want you to sign up for the channel, it's their revenue stream.

Another great episode for season 2. Nicely done. Congrats to those of us on this episode. Thanks again Mike.

Found out a little bit of info.

As I was watching it, towards the end of the show there is footage of the Bentley on display at the auto show. What caught my eye were my uncles and cousin in a couple scenes. Well one of my uncles told me that he noticed the camera crew around that day we were there. He mentioned to the crew that I had worked on it. He asked if they should move so they could get good footage of the car. The camera crew told them to stay in the shot. Very cool.

Here they are

I saw the episode, great work guys. The car looked great when you guys finished it up.

Also,

If you watch closely, off to one side of the 1929 Bentley we detailed for our show is another car we detailed on our show and that is the 1925 Round Door Rolls Royce.

The Round Door Rolls - Competition Ready TV on Velocity Channel

Here's why it's called the Round Door Rolls Royce

And it also still looked amazing which is surprising as museums are not known (at least by me), for having trained staff to wipe down their cars on display and over time, they get all scratched up.

Thank you sir.

All the cars in Bruce's collection look good, very good. One of the things I say in our detailing classes here and I've also said on a few of the episodes on Competition Ready goes like this,

It's easy to take a neglected car and detail it to create dramatic before and after results, it's much more difficult to take a car that already looks really good to a higher level"

You still do all the hard work to a car in good shape as you would do to a car in bad shape except for maybe heavy compounding and correction, but time-wise it's still intense work and everyone still has to do their best work. And of course using great products, pads and tools is a given.

The last thing you want to hear while working on a car for Bruce Meyer in his private collection is,

Whoops!

And I'm happy to say we have not had a whoops moment on any of the cars for any of the episodes in season 1 or 2 and that's because the people on our teams are always high caliber people that know their primary job is to focus on the task at hand.

And "yes" the 1929 Bentley really came out nice. The clarity in the paint after machine polishing made a huge difference. The paint was the hardest part because the curator for Bruce's car collection didn't want us to use wax on it as he says wax collects dust. On this episode you see us applying wax but that was just to tell a complete story, you know clean, polish and protect. Most of the paint was only polished however and I know from experience that an application of wax is the

Great equalizer

By this I mean it creates a uniform appearance over the ENTIRE surfaces of the body panels in a way that only applying a polish cannot do.

But - the customer is always right.

This was a great episode! I almost missed it because my dvr failed to record the first showing but i did get it recorded to watch Sunday. This was the second time it had recorder failure of the show. Fortunately you let us watch the show in detailing class so I haven't missed any. Guess i need to pay a visit to my cable provider!

It's a very surreal experience to sit in our classroom filled with students and watch a show on TV on car detailing.

Glad you were able to catch it Guy!
