Complaint:AG International Shipping Rate !!!

With all of the business that AG is now doing overseas I think the time has come for AG to go international.
I suggest opening another location in say the south of France or perhaps in Italy on the Amalfi coast.
With that said I would like to take this opportunity to offer my services in heading AG's international division as I have the ability to communicate in both French and Italian as well as German and Spanish.
Can I give my resume for the Italy location????

I am on board, when should I pack!

Je suggère que Max prendre des dispositions pour vous et moi pour aller entre Noël et nouvel an. La côte méditerranéenne est simplement beau à cette époque de l'année.

(I suggest that Max make arrangements for you and I to go between Christmas and new years. The Mediterranean coast is just beautiful at that time of year.)

Sia di recarsi Francia e ti vado a Italia
(both of you go to france and I'll go to Italy)

dispiace la presa del thread intrecciata
(sorry about the thread jack twisted)

I know that Penny does all the international and she makes the decision on what carrier to use based on the country it is going to and the weight and value of the package. Trust me she sends a lot overseas, she is well trained to find the best method keeping in mind, safety, insurance, duties, and fees.

thanks meghan for the clarification on how the best Carrier is selected to send overseas ,

but still me concern is how come the is cost difference between AG and other Websites to ship the same items overseas with the same shipping method ?

Not sure would have to look at their method they are using, and if they are sending with insurance and delivery receipt. There are cheaper ways to ship, if you don't mind your package getting lost, non insured, and taking three weeks. But when we ship we have customers we have to look out for, so we have to insure the items, and get tracking and delivery confirmation. We cannot except anything less with your valuable packages, we know you guys don't like to get that dreaded email that you package has been lost... and even worse if we said we did not insure it!

The USPS tracking system isn't worth much. Onced shipped they never update it until after you receive it so you never know where your shipment stands.

I agree Gary, I've experienced that every time I've tracked a package from a company that chose to use them as the shipping company. I'm glad that all of the detailing product companies I've done business with use either FEDEX or UPS.
Im the MAN

Sorry to bump an old thread but USPS has been great for me

In Indonesia where I'm located USPS express mail shipments can be tracked via Pos Indonesia Online... priority mail doesnt require barcodes to be scanned but thankfully our postal service guys do so anyways..USPS express mail is EMS thus country of destination is obliged to scan the items as it arrived..Once scanned information will be available through the website..If your country's postal service has a website to track items you should be able track it

I feel bad for US users of USPS it seems that the tracking info isn't accurate and uptodate..for us international the tracking isnt up to date when it leaves the US but once it arrives in our country the update is provided time it arrives, time it goes through customs, time it clear the customs, time it's shipped to the regional post offices, time it's delivered to me

I admit it's still unlike Fedex/DHL since it also provides tracking info in transiting countries also faster service, but shipping with couriers cost double if not triple a week delays seem plausible if the difference is 150 to 300 bucks :)

USPS doesn't have a true tracking service...they only offer delivery confirmation, which may be scanned at different locations as it goes (but that hardly happens in my experience), but it doesnt compare the tracking of UPS or FedEx
