A week ago, I detailed at 2006 Nissan Murano. The first picture shows how I received it. After doing a few test, it was determined that heavy oxidation had occurred on the single stage paint that was applied to the car in 2007. The second picture shows the results after I completed a two step paint correction and sealed. The third picture went send from the individual not even a week later. As you can see, in the lower left, some of the marks are returning and i have no idea why.

ANYONE lend any insight or advise?

After looking at the first picture the car looks like the bumper, fender and hood are all a different color. The paint looks real bad.

I am the wrong guy to ask I would take a pass on that car. I always ask the customer if there is anything strange or unusual about the car. The different color paint is a little strange.

The work you did looks fine, but those strange and unusual things sometimes come back to bite you. I'm sure someone knows what went wrong.

Paint Correction Steps:
Megs #105, Yellow 5.5" LC CCS Pad, and GG6
Megs #205, Orange and Green 5.5" LC CCS Pad, and GG6

Sealant:
BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection

He parks his car in his driveway, but no sprinklers around, phila is nothing but concrete.

looks like crappy paint job. Didn't you say it was a repaint? From the first pictures, looks like its just the hood and fender. You did an awesome job on that thing, and ff it was something you did wrong then the whole car should end up looking like that.

From the looks of it, its just the hood. I would say have him repaint it or leave it as is.

The hood, drivers side quarter panel, and 1/4 of the drivers side doors where all painted in 2007 with a single stage paint job. These areas where painted due to an accident.

Probably just due to the cheap enamel repaint and constant exposure to the elements.

We talked about this vehicle when you got it didn't we?? I think you said the body shop that put the paint on was out of business. I don't think the paint was mixed right...not enough hardener...or wrong hardener. You got a nice coat of oils, waxes, etc, which shined...now the soft paint is soaking them up. That's my opinion.

Several members went at length with me, discussing this car. The body shop is out of business.

Obviously you've done this a bunch of times...you've never had a problem like this. You know your processes were correct...that only leaves one thing...bad paint. Am I wrong?

I can't see it being anything but an issues directly
with the paint.

If I remember the owner is a friend. Really sucks...but seems you had doubts before you started. You tried...sometimes that's all you can do.

Yea the owner is a friend and he's in no way upset with me. Which is a good thing. I'm positive it's not water spots.
