I'm debating...

1)old school, time tested, and cheap Meguiars 105/205 or

2)new school Menznera FG400 and Sonax Perfect Finish 4/6

Opinions? I already have Menzerna SF4500 in the arsenal.

The perfect finish has plently of cut just by it self i know what and finishes down very well.

Thanks for the insight Evan. Would you say Perfect Finish cuts as well as PF2500 and finishes as well as SF4000 or SF4500?

Anyone else with experience with FG400 and Perfect Finish 4/6?

I've only tried FG400 and M205 out of the products you listed. That combo has worked for me on several vehicles. For how well FG400 cuts and finishes, I see no reason to even try M105.

IME M105 cuts more than FG400... I love my D300/M105 combo on MF pads. I get better results with that Meg's combo than I do with FG400 when heavy cutting is needed on hard paints. FG400 works better on softer paints though for heavy compounding.

I keep both on my shelf at all times.

Do you mean both M105 and D300 at the same time on the MF pad? Then followed with a polish?

I say option number 2.

I love FG400 and the ease of use and PF will be my next compound to pick up. Currently using SF4000 and 4500.
