No matter how careful I am, I still get some compound splatter or dust on the car. I wash the car but still dust and splatter seems
find its way into window seals that wont come off with regular washing. What is the best way to clean this?

Agree, tape before. but since you didn't, OP, usually some APC and agitation with a paint safe brush will take care of it. Might take a few tries.

here is one for ya. how do you get compound out of paint chip holes? I have washed, polished, QD. still there.
is there a secret?

"Like dissolves Like"

•Many compounds contain petroleum distillates of one kind or another.
-Naphtha(s) seems to be the more prevalent one(s).

-Hardware stores carry Naphtha---The VM&P Naphtha.
-Zippo lighter fluid has Naphtha.
-So does Coleman camp fuel.
-Use with the above Q-Tip method
Keep in mind: Caution: Highly flammable...

•Always thoroughly wash the affected areas after it's use.
•Then: I recommend an LSP application/re-application.

Spray with APC (10:1)

Dwell 60 seconds

Agitate with small soft brush

Hit it with Steam

When steaming with a high pressure steamer (over 100 psi) don't get too close to the defect to avoid damaging the paint at the edge of the defect.

Would it be possible to apply the compound/polish on the paint with a wax application pad, then work the compound that way?

After polishing and before I apply sealant, I'll pressure wash again with foam cannon with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Red (same as used to remove LSP) and pressure wash/rinse spraying directly in nooks/seals. Finally, as mentioned by others, I try to tape off areas as best as possible.
