Compounding/Polishing with out Claying??

You only need to clay your vehicle once or twice a year, your fine, go right to polishing.

You could skip the claying and it wouldn't be a huge problem. You could also clay and since it was just done a month ago it would go pretty fast. Either way it won't matter much but if you are willing to do a 2 step polishing I see no reason to skip a quick clay. The polishing may remove some of what the claying would remove but as someone mentioned why not polish clean. To think that polishing with a PC or UDM is going to remove anything a clay bar would is wishful thinking. Claying once or twice a year may be sufficient but there will build up even after a month. The build up doesn't just happen between months 2 and 12.

Hey Bambo2888, since everyone here is fussing anyway, i will go a little off topic ~
Yah, i want to add about 40 hp to my c-6, without voiding the warranty - it is not even a year old yet! And without failing to pass smog. I am going to get to this later, but if you have ideas, pm me! Thanks!! Im the MAN :grouphug:

And guys, it is ok to agree to disagree. To each, his own! That is the beauty of America.

Do the plastic baggie test. If its a little rough then use a mild clay. I usually clay with a mild clay everytime to keep from getting contaminants on the pad especially if I am polishing.
