Comsumer Vs. Pro Grade Car Soap

I have heard of Megs #62 and I think that it is still around. It's a lot like Gold Class isn't it? You won't be disappointed with Hyper Wash.

I hope it's not like Gold Class (streaks too much for me). You're right it's the #00 wash that got discontinued, #62 is still kicking. I doubt I will by trying Hyper Wash, I'm not sure I'm going to be alive long enough to use up all the car wash I have, especially at the rate I've been washing this year.

You should think about donating your car wash to a school or group car wash. Get some Hyperwash, Optimum Car Wash, and some Reset. Live it up, cause your not taking it with you.

IMHO there’s not a huge difference between Meguiars Gold Class and any other soap I’ve ever tried. Reset is a notch above, but pound for pound not by leaps and bounds... Sure Hyper Wash has a better dilution ratio, but does it really matter? IMO It’s chicken change.

Thank you all for the opinions. I am learning as I go. For my use I have plenty of retail store car wash. I only wash a Nissan hatchback and my parents pickup. I am hoping that my aunt will let me clean her Subaru before she destroys the paint. For her it id Dawn, kitchen spinge, or the brushless automated swirl factory.

Hey, I just used up the stuff I would donate, I'm just getting to the good stuff, including the Optimum...after I get through the gallon of #62 and Griot's.

I was of this opinion as well. I'm a pessimist. (Yeah, sure...... how good can this be?) I need to see proof.

Hyper wash proved itself to me, and I was actually really surprised. (Pleasantly so......)

IMO, it cleans paint way better than OTC stuff. Just my experiences with it vs. the store bought stuff.

How much is the conditioner effecting the synthetic wax or sealant or coating from Meguiars Gold Class?

Unfortuneally the price for me as a foreign customer gets a little to high with shipping charges and taxes and the customs cost. If I would bought Megs HW. And the retail price here in Sweden is around 70$ for HW. But at the prices you guys and gals can get it with 25% sale the Meguiars Hyper Wash would be a no brainer to have in my arsenal.

Are you sure that Carbrite Select does not leave anything behind? The description says: Generates sheeting action

The 3D Pink Soap seems to be at a great value. What are the recommended dilution of that?

I have noticed a minimal sheeting action on the car brite select. It has in no way altered the looks. In fact after only the second use, I am really liking this soap. 3D is diluted to 2oz per 5 gallon. Or 1-2 oz in the foam gun. I recall I really liked the 3D. A great value.
