confused 6.5 vs 5.5 inch pads

like rohnramirez said, it depends on what pad you use, pressure etc. When/if he has a car that has a severe case of swirls he can use M105's full potential.
 
He shouldn't use M105 at all for minor swirls. He should be using a product made for light swirls, not a heavy compound such as M105...

Yea, I read his post. I am just saying M105 can vary depending on the pads you use. Eventually he might come across a car that has deep scratches where M105 can be used at it's full potential. M105 can be used with different pads for different amount of cut. It is just more versatile that's all.
 
I agree, 105 is very versatile. I prefer stepping up on a product rather than a pad. So i sometimes use 105 on white as a one step if the 205 isn't enough. It is not that abrasive on its own. It definitely doesn't cut like the true rubbing compounds used for removing sanding marks, such as the TW & 3M. So it is safe to use on new cars if you use the right combo, technique and pressure.

Sorry i wasn't actually pointing out to you per se, as i do not want to offend anyone, i just used "you" but was pertaining to everyone that could be reading..but thanks for believing. :)
