Conserving Product (Sonax, Iron X, etc)?

As I said, I was probably the wrong person to post.

I get what your saying though - if you do it once a year then maybe the $20-$30 expense of using a bottle isn't a huge deal...I am going to do a test spot on my truck...if it doesn't turn colors then I probably won't bother with it.

"The Baggie Test" ("TBT")...
How do you know, for sure, that
you'll need to use your Alternative
Auto-Clay product next time?


Before performing the claying step
of the overall paint decontamination
process ("TBT" determined), I consider
it a "Best Practice" to first use an
IronX-type decontamination product.

Already did the baggy test about a week ago...my hood and roof of the truck will absolutely need to be clayed. I see what your saying by using the Iron X before claying...maybe I can just Iron X the hood and roof...
