You can use a screw driver to pry it off, but be slow and very carful (plastic breaks) and pry the hose off slowly working around the plastic piece. I forget if there is a drain or not because i always just pull the hose.

Just to let you know when you install is put the clip back in first before you put it back on the radiator and slide it on as straight as you can. and to bleed out the air just turn the key to the on possition (dont start it yet) it has a electric water pump. and take the bleeder screw out on the upper hose it should be on the engine side of the hose. and before you do all that make sue the radiator is full.

We tried with a screwdriver but no luck. And how do you get the collant out of the engine block if you just pull the hose?

when you take the lower hose off all coolent from the block will drain as well there will be some left in some places but its very little hope all goes well

WE DID IT!!!!!!!! i found a drain valve on the bottom of the radiator, and then i found the bleed screw for the engine block, every thing was going great...to great, i lost a washer to the engine block bleeder screw, we had to run down to the dealership, i got my part and we compleated the flush and filled her up(i used a bottle of water wetter :) ya!). i was late to work though. Thank guys!

And that makes you go to the dealer still. :D

Good enough that my Mercedes Benz Radiator Hose doesn’t have such kind of band, so I don’t need to go through such things. But, if I did, I would’ve just taken a mechanic to have the coolant flush done for me. I haven’t got such patience.

Anyways, it’s good for you that you get over it. :applause:

Dont forget to BLEED the cooling system, it is very important on a closed cooling system that does not have a radiator cap.
