Isn't that the on/off switch? And on that EB210, that's also just an on-off switch, although it's a little more "trigger-like". When I say trigger, I'm referring to a variable speed function.

I went ahead and bought the PXE and the accessory kit. After this weekend it will be relegated to a 2 inch rotary for those tight spaces where I need extreme precision and the little nooks and crannies I can now polish with the micro tips. Once I get my HLR75 back that will be my main 3 inch machine. I didn’t get a chance to use it before shipping it off for repair but I did turn it on and it does have more power than my G13. At this point I’m going cordless for all but the most difficult of paint corrections.

DA. Understand it’s more powerful in rotary but not my preference to use. I will mainly use as a1”/2” in rotary.

Really just letting future folks know who read this that if your buying PXE as 3” DA they’re better options

I will never buy another RUPES polisher (i own 5) . The representative of that company (Todd Helme) is very WOKE.
For that reason they get no more of my money

Cordless polishers (cordless anything) are going to have to come up with a lighter battery before I will be purchasing any of them.

For me it is the most useful second to the rotary. I use the 6mm for sanding mostly. After going gear driven, i personally find free spinning tools frustrating

Maybe one day flex will make a gear driven da for 3 inch

You know it’s funny I always thought it was funny they didn’t make a 3” gear driven. Maybe gearing size?

I do get what you say and now get why Mike Phillips love the flex. For production work it’s what I’d use.

For hobbyists, for me personally, kinda find it like an art form to keep a free spinning dancing.

Just an heads up guys i have been seeing that the new Rupes 15mm and 21mm machines are having issues.

I read a post on the Facebook group "Beginner Detailing" by Steven Nipin-Muskwa - He's one of the moderators and generally gives excellent advice IMO in this group.

He stated that he as already went through 4 machines. He has 2 more now that are working fine so far. But he also mentioned how he talks to his IDA's colleagues in chatrooms and many people are having the same issues with the battery shorting and burning out the motor.

IDA - International Detailers Association.

I think this show's again that Rupes' reputation is probably better than it should be. And the crazy prices they want for their polishers might not hold up to scrutiny. It's no secret the mark 1 and 2 where under powered and most people used a washer mod. to get them to spin. The 3 inch(corded) is supposely not that great either.

And lets not forget the cordless 3 inch first came out without a trigger lock....what the f was that all about?

I started this thread to talk about user experiences with there polishers. Useful community here to have there own content for the internet

Not to post info you find on the internet to bash Rupes. Seems like you have a problem with their products and blasting ones you’ve never tried.

Have you actually owned any Rupes? I personally didn’t till recently because I thought the were overpriced and could find similar till less. Trying them changed my mind. But one thing I tried not to do is bash something I’ve never

You are posting experiences of maybe 20-30 people who have bad experiences and although valid a small sample size of a new product. The sold thousands if not more. A lot of people posting they love them… great machines. Reason I dipped my toe ‘s were some of the great reviews from people who actually used Rupes…. On this forum.

Then you post old stuff about a trigger… that Rupes fixed. Why bring it up?

If you want to post opinions of what others think from other reaches on the internet (good idea) to let masses know of problems you should start another forum to “warn” them?

If wanting to “warn” the community maybe a thread stating what you’ve read about what’s going on in the title instead of burying it in here.

Well, I currently have 2 RUPES machines with broken triggers making them utterly useless (this doesn't include the machine that I sent back 3 years ago for trigger repair that is currently broke) for what the cost of repair was I could just go buy basically the same machine at harbor freight for $100 and just chunk it when it breaks.


Meanwhile all 3 of my Flex polishers are working just as good as the day that I bought them 10 years ago.
The trigger mechanism on the Flex is far superior to RUPES. Flex triggers feel very tight and strurdy whereas RUPES triggers feel very fragile right out of the box.

I think its foolish for you to question what other professionals (unlike weekend warriors such as yourself) are posting up just because its on a platform (100,000,000 times bigger than this forum) that you choose not to participate in.

Put this in your pipe and smoke it instead of Crack rocks and maybe you will learn something rookie.

Sounds like you had a good experience with Flex… focus on that… Never questioned what “other professionals”. Just said start a new thread.

Try reading slower…. Pronounce all the syllables….

You have real good info you post on this thread….
