Costco microfiber towels?

To me, I only use these for interior and engine bay. When they get too dirty, I just toss them without feeling too bad since they are so cheap. I don't use them for paint at all. Also, another thing I use them for is cleaning pads on the fly.

Great price, are they any good?

Fine for wheels, door jambs, exhausts, trim, windows, and interior cleaning. There's a new gold looking version and it seems to be a bit thicker than the yellow/green ones. I just bought the pack but haven't gotten a chance to use expect on some windows

I use them daily, bought about 5 bags to keep up with the work. As said these newer ones have a thicker pile & work great. Just make sure you wash them before use or they will lint but once the 1st wash was done I haven't seen any lint since.

I use them for Interior, Jambs, Wheels, Engine bay, Glass, & so on. Only times iv'e used them on paint is when the vehicle was utterly trashed beforehand.

Is this the same new version that you have?

Been using them for a while now they work great, and are cheap... Just picked up two more bags of them over the weekend, I'm happy with them for all my jobs..

These are the ones I've been using for about a year. At like 55cents a piece they are worth it.

Most of my jobs are aio, so all the defects aren't removed completely anyway. I have not had any issues, except for linting on windows and mirrors.

I'll bust out my nicer towels on the high end jobs, but I use them on my own vehicles without a second thought. The plush ones are way better than the ones from Sam's club.

I like the blue ones from Sam's Club better. But for general use both are fine.

Nope that's the original one. The new one is more gold or orange I would say. You might have to go to a different Costco to pick them up

+1, I no longer use mine on glass since I found some ww mf's that Pep Boys were blowing out.

Costco microfiber towels are amazing for the price. I use them for everything including rinseless washes, pre-drying towel for traditional washes before going over with a waffle weave, wiping off polish/compound with CarPro Eraser, interior, wheels, EVERYTHING.

I have some and use it for everything I do. I think they are decent enough especially given the price. I also have the Meguiar's supreme shine towels and like those a lot also. I'd love to get better towels overall, but I can't really afford to buy that many towels given the prices of some of the better ones. I will say that I haven't noticed any swirls caused by them.

I have like 3 packs separated into a bin, I use them for about everything, even correction wipe downs. I like to use them once, wash them and they then puff up a bit. Works great also for leather seats

Excellent price in fact, and I'd say they are more than good enough for most jobs. Soft paint, not so much. But you'll never find a better deal on a general purpose towel. EVER!

My cost here is like 42¢ per, and that is SCHWEET! :)
I agree, the window linting is an issue.

Nope, that is the new one. The original ones were Eurow branded and yellow, same nap both sides. These are Kirkland branded and more gold with high/low nap. World of difference between them. :props:

Absolutely amazing in fact. ;) I can't say about the waffle weave anymore because I don't use them hardly ever these days. (Spend too much time with the blower.) Although I do have a trio of the gold plush foam core waffle weaves that I may use on pickups and such, just not on any of my stuff, OR on any customer cars these days except the bare basic wash and wipe. (Which I actually don't market to anyone so figuring $75 minimum for a wash spray wax/sealant I just don't use waffle weaves in the drying process.) :dunno:

I will however use the Kirklands for compound removal, and on harder paints even on polish and/or LSP wipe down on some vehicles. My kids 4Runner never has a problem with it, neither does my Caddy. My G35 however scratches/swirls when you freaking look at it! It'll take a compound wipe, and in cooler weather even a polish wipe, but not LSP. Soft black on ANYTHING won't stand up to them.

Yep, cut from the same cloth there Bill!:dblthumb2: I've been doing 3 bins, but now have 4. I honestly haven't had a problem with them on anything within reason. I mean sure, if you let an edge catch on some soft paint or something you may have a problem, but that's more of an exception than the rule.

I've said it before, I know a guy that uses cheap Wal-Mart basic towels that can't hold a candle to these, yet cost MORE, uses them NEW, and uses them on $2000 paint corrections. I have no idea how he gets away with it, but he does. And I can assure you, there are not any residual marring marks there either. It's about how you use them. Although when I AM WITH HIM I've never used the WM towels, just can't stand them. :dunno:

Just be sensible with the what, when, and how and you'll do just fine. The KEY is to wash them first (as with ANY towel) and remove those darned tags. Of course this does and will NEVER negate the reasons for using better quality MF towels. (But can certainly cut down your cost on buying the better ones.) :)

I have a few Costco and Sams Club MF towel packs. I dont use on paint but on everything else. I wish the Costco ones didnt have tags though. Sams towels are tagless which is nice.

I haven't noticed scratching on my super duper soft black 2013 Porsche Cayenne. Maybe cause i'm no longer obsessive about swirls and i've come to the realization that the paint will never be 100% perfect.

No tags is a good selling point. Other than that, how do the Sams Club MF towels look/feel/perform compared to the Kirklands?
