interesting!

sent a few questions to the business.
looks like the planned release is in the form of a spray-on only.

asked if a product release as a paste is planned and if the product is level and smooth when sprayed.

Looks like a very promising technology.

And Pixel, let us know what you hear back from them.

I contacted them with similar questions as well... in the videos it seems pretty amazing if nothing else for car interiors and brake dust prone rims!

If it's in spray-form and it works, I'm liking it for undercarriage protection.

I have also been in contact with the company. I have never seen anything repel apple sauce and gravy like this stuff did. Seriously though, if application and durability are tailored for the automotive appearance market, things may get interesting.

Wowzers.

I requested a product sample. And asked for a phone call to discuss automotive application.

If enough of us email them, maybe they can come to the forum and answer our questions.

I agree with you flawless...It would seriously help with cleanup after my three small children!

haven't read it all but it seems these two uses would fall short of the mark due to the temperature issues.

"The Ross coatings have been tested for upper use temperature and data shows that they can be used up to 205 C (400 F) for lang periods and can have temperature transients of up to 288 C (550 F)."

really interesting stuff though. 8)

Very interesting product. I guess it doesn't offer UV protection but certainly would be useful for glass and wheels/ engine bays.

I would LOVE to get my hands on some of this and try it on wheels/ glass.

Can't wait to see what the responses to the questions posed are.

I got me a sample and can do a whole car in 8 mins and22 seconds!!!
This product is nuuuttttzzzzzzz!

Ok ok I really wdidnt get a sample I was just joshing ....
But a mo re serious note I am now more curious about what my beading is gonna look like after this storm passes in a few hours ... I did 2x PL and Really am excited about what it will turn out to be... According to neverwet if you have fat blobs of beads they are not as hydrophobic as round ball like beads ... So in a nutshell round ball like is good and oval blobs don't have a lower shallower angle the roll off as easily...
Come on PL!!!!!

Is this a permanent coating? If so, how would you be able to correct the paint? or even just wash the car? :autowash:

I think I'll pass on this one for automotive use :detailer:

Wouldn't that be the same idea as putting Opti-Coat on a vehicle, you would correct prior applying?

Opti Coat can be removed if need be. This stuff looks like it could be a major pain to remove as its primary audience seems to be metal building owners, equiptment that stays under water and ppl who spill stuff alot

response!

Thank you for your interest in our NeverWet superhydrophobic coatings. We've received an incredible amount of email and phone contact recently regarding various news articles published on our technology (over 15,000 inquiries!), and we apologize for the delay in getting back to you on your request. We've even been asked if the video demonstrations are real, so let me take this opportunity to assure you that it is completely real and NeverWet is very revolutionary!
It appears from the contact you recently made with us that you're interested in using one of our coatings for a personal application. We are diligently working on finalizing a number of our coatings in aerosol cans that can be used by end users such as yourself to provide you with the same, extreme water repelling features that you witnessed in some of our videos. At this time, these products are not yet available to the general public, as we complete our testing to bring you a product that will amaze you as much as our industrial coatings. We believe you will find our products well worth the wait when we reach the level of quality that has brought us the same level of demand from our manufacturing and industrial customers. We anticipate that you'll be able to purchase some for yourself by mid-2012. We have you on our mailing list, so you don't need to do a thing... we'll be in contact with you again when product is available for purchase!
Please feel free to monitor our web site and Facebook page (NeverWet Products) for the latest news releases on our consumer products, as well as details of products that will soon be released directly from manufacturers who have incorporated our technology into their products.
We will also be sending you another email shortly with some answers to many of the frequently asked questions we've received. Unfortunately it's difficult for us to answer every question, so we hope that these will help to answer some of the questions you have about our products and that you may have included in your initial email contact with us. We think you'll also find it helpful to learn more about our technology in general.
If we've misunderstood your interest and you are a manufacturer who is interested in discussing opportunities to utilize our coatings into your products, please use the following link to tell us more about your application.

Thank you again for your interest and patience,
