I vote for James! He and the Cobra deserve it.

Thanks for your service, bro!

I work hard to keep my Lightning detailed to the max, but I live on a gravel road; the dust even gets into the garage, and all over my pride and joy. A cover would be the perfect solution.

Hey!

I tell you guys who would be a good canidate to recieve this AWESOME car cover  that would be that dude that drives that AWESOME looking Cobra....I think his name is James :dblthumb2:

I'm very surprised no one has thought of this yet :)

That's a great idea Flash, I second the motion!

In love with my beater

I have to disagree with the OP's original statement that a car is an investment. I see it as a love affair. An investment assumes that you buy a car and the price of it may go up. This may be true for a classic car, but for 99% of cars on the road as daily drivers, the monetary value can only go one way. Which is why I call it a love affair. You can't put a price tag on love. Like marriage, pets and relationships, you can't rationalize spending this much time and energy to keep it going. There is no accounting, balance sheet, logic or sensible way to explain why you've kept that car that you dad gave you 25 years ago, that rots in your garage.
Why do I want this car cover you ask? Because I love my original owner, 16 year old 140k miles Lexus, warts and all. I use it as the beater. It sits outside while the two new cars sit indoors. It gives so much yet asks nothing in return. (well, except for a car cover.)

Ok Nick here’s the car that would get the cover 2002 Nissan Maxima SE. This is my daily driver and sits outside 24/7.

Ive been the victim of a fly by pooping. :detailer:

Why do I want the best car cover made? Simple.

I am deploying in one more week for a year. I will only be home for my wedding in October, then back out for deployment. The poor Cobra is going to have to sit all alone in the storage facility. In fact, last night was its last night here at home in the garage. Today it gets tucked away. I would love to have something nice to place over it. Of course, I would have to have someone else (my fiance) do this for me, as tomorrow morning I leave home and will not be back until the wedding. I don't really have the cash to purchase one right now because of the wedding bill that seems to be getting higher and higher. I am lucky just to have it in storage and not in the driveway.

So I ask, no I beg of you. Please let me win this cover so the car can stay warm at night while it spends the next year alone without me.

Thanks.

Here is the car that would love to recieve a blanket for the winter. And for just $1 a day, less the price of a cup of coffee, you can help keep it warm on a lonely night.

My vote goes to James. I cannot top his reasonings and appreciate his service in our armed forces.

Please enter my name so I can put it on this car.

There are a lot of deserving people/cars on this site. Probably even many military, police and fireman. But, James is going to get it if I win it.

I certainly agree, James does deserve this nice car cover.
Nick, you need to procure another one.

I'm also nominating my 62 which looks absolutely horrible sitting for the last 3 years.

Nick,

I think I may have a solution to all of us who feel that James should get the car cover. Maybe you can work a deal out with the vendor and get one shipped to James. If not I think anyone here would agree that if they win they'd give it to James. Its not a matter of James getting things free...I mean...he puts his life on the line so we all can be free. OR...we all could pitch in and get James a car cover. I'm putting in my entry for the contest, but I would give it to James. Attached is a pic of my car that I spent a week detailing. Thanks to you processing my order for the Memorial Day sale that I missed, this is the result of that order.

I would want the car cover because I do not have a garage and my car is exposed to the elements 24-7. In the past year, I have become a car enthusiast. I am getting married August 18, 2012 and instead of putting up money for the wedding, I'm buying detailing products...but sssshhh don't tell my fiance.

Again...if I win, I'm giving it to James. It would be a small token for my appreciation for his service to our country...for his service to us.

Thanks again Nick.

I sure could use a car cover for my Trans Am. Since I don't have a garage I have to keep the car in storage. While it keeps the car safe from the elements I always have to rinse it off because of the dirt and dust left on the car. All the car guys around the area know me as being OCD when it comes to cleaning my car. They even laugh about me pulling off the wheels to clean and wax the inside barrel. To help keep up my reputation I would love to have a nice CoverCraft car cover.

02' GTI 337 1 of 1500 made for U.S. sale. (250 in Canada)
VW GTI 337 If you're curious about what makes this golf different.

1 owner, currently not a daily driver and never been garaged! car has 108,000 miles and as you can see with exception of a few scuffs on the lower valance this car is MINT! The car has never been buffed but I clean it religiously!! It's obviously modified but tastefully done with rare option euro parts. Unlike most people I have kept all stock parts including the one-of-a-kind shot peened BBS RC's (they haven't made these for any other car!) I use them strictly for summer use, I also have a set of "show" wheels and of course winter wheels. That's right I have shown the car at a few major VW shows and even placed...I don't have an ego about the car though! I'm just proud of myself that others find my little ol' golf to be a cut above the rest (just like CoverCraft Car Covers :xyxthumbs:)

I also plan to be gone for a few months every year doing wildland firefighting (currently in the hiring process with the forestry service!)

NO PROTECTED STORAGE!! If this isn't proof that I need a cover then I don't know what is! I know it isn't a Zonda R but help preserve a great example of a limited production golf!

I vote for James as well...I cant even enter my car against his and why he needs it...

Like many of us detailing is either a hobby or a career, but in some cases all of our hard work is ruined by the elements. The whole reason we detail it to correct and protect our vehicles from the elements that surround us. Our cars, trucks or what ever you drive should be protected at every angel possible. My truck is in immaculate condition thanks to my hard work, but the down fall is the truck stays outside all the time. With this car cover my truck would be protected from the majority of the elements that contaminate it.
