Cquartz by mobile detailer vs IGL by shop ?

Am going to get my Yukon coated. There are not too many choices where I live. A mobile detailer will use cquartz to do the job. He just did my sister in law’s new car. About 2 to 3 hours of prep then at least another hour applying the coating. His rate would be about $400. I like the price and that he is the owner of his company. He has good reviews.

Another non mobile shop in town will do IGL for around 1400 with 4 year warranty. They have good reviews too and are IGL certified. Obviously though more expensive.

Am having trouble making a decision. Any thoughts appreciated.

Warranties are too easy to void and mostly bs. I would rather have my car done yearly for $400 than have a crap warranty for 4 years at $1400. Coatings will mar and scratch so unless the warranty says they will fix scratches and apply a new coating for free after you drive it through a car wash go with the CQUARTZ.

There’s a reason why I’m not quite a installer yet. It’s hard to get people to take care of a protection detail never mind up-keeping a coating.

I would agree with rlmccarty2000. Cquartz is a good coating option. Typically a car needs some sort of polishing 1-2 years down the road. The warranty is nice but be sure to read the fine print before you choose it.

Cquartz for sure. If you like the results of the other car then it’s a much better value. A 1000 dollar value cause I sure wouldn’t even try to use a warranty much after the first couple weeks making sure I saw no spots missed or something. After that it’s all “well you didn’t do this or come to us bi weekly for a 60 dollar maint wash sorry”

I've installed coatings outside..depending on which coating..humidity can make install a pain.
Keep that in mind
