Anyone have experience using these two products? Which one do you prefer?

Tried doing a search but couldn't find a comparison between these two. I'm looking for a good trim restorer that has long durability. From my search results, these two appear to have the longest durability.

Frank, if you dont get your answer here call Robert Diterlizzi at Impressions.I have his # if you need it and he is a dealer for CQuarts.Tim.

There were a couple threads earlier this year (on another site) that GTechniq C1, C4 & C5 are the same product relabelled. So consider when purchasing that you may find some more use for the Gtechniq product other than trim. Also consider purchasing the cheapest of the 3 Gtechniqs since they are the same, but don't just trust me, do you own research on the Gtechniq C1/C4/C5 threads.

I have really liked C4 on my trim, it has lasted a year so far on some parts, other parts that were coated later are at 6 months and still look great. I've found the surface does need to be surgically clean before applying it or it will look blotchy (found out the hard way on the grille that I thought I cleaned well enough)

Thanks Tim, I have his number.

I won't go into a lengthy reply, but I used both. I really like the CQuartz DLX. I've yet to personally use a product that does what DLX does, and that lasts as long.

Are you 100% sure about that? So what you're saying is Gtechniq C4 has absolutely no darkening/restoration effect on trim, only protective qualities?

I too thought the same thing whel i received my Ultima Paint Guard Plus and Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus. Boy i was wrong!

Both of these threads seem to indicate that they are the same. I'm definitely not saying C4 has no restorative effects. I find it to be very good at restoring trim - It has worked wonders on the mirror housings of my audis where few products have been able to succeed; it's lasted 6 months. Just pointing out that if the OP were to get C4, it can be used on more than just trim.

What's the shelf life of DLUX?

I would say, if you bought a fresh bottle of DLX, and now won't be able to get to it till spring-some many months later, that this shouldn't be a problem, that the product should be good to go like the day you bought-got it.

I opened a fresh bottle of DLX about 3 or so months ago, used a 1/3rd, sealed the bottle up tight, and it still looks like fresh liquid to me in the bottle when I looked a few days ago.

I would say, to just make sure after you use it, to cap it up tight, even wipe the threads of the bottle before capping.

But you will find any applicators used will turn stiff-hard. That's one quality of the DLX product.

I've never used Gtechniq, but I am a big fan of DLUX.

Snapped these pictures on my phone this weekend when I was washing my car.
