Anyone use this product on black trim pillars? The trim pillars on my new car are the only thing that is scratched. I'm planning on buffing them out. Wondering if anyone has experienced with this.

I haven't used it on trim pillars, but have used it on all of the black plastic on my Tacoma. It's a great product and lasts a long time.

DLux worked incredibly for me on textured black plastic. Not so much on smooth black plastic.

The instructions say to keep it free of water for 24hrs. So I chose a day with a good forecast, even the next few days were good weather too. I did all the prep work as per the instructions and then applied the DLux.

The next morning I found lots of "water spots" on the smooth black plastic trim where I applied DLux. I guess the morning dew caused it. So maybe keeping the car in a garage overnight immediately after applying would prevent this.

In fact, a few weeks later I restored my headlights and coated them with DLux for protection. I made sure to keep the car in the garage that night, and the DLux cured perfectly clear. Very happy with those results.

Just like Carpro's other coatings, one can come behind DLX with Reload after it dries.

I think that CQUARTZ works better on the smooth glossy pillar trim. Treat it like paint. Use the DLUX on your textured trim pieces.

Hi BJackson, I just purchased DLUX and UK 3.0 and I wanted to coat my matte black TRD pro wheels on my Tacoma, I have received mixed answers on using dlux for my wheels do you have any experience using dlux on matte wheels?

If you are worried about it adding gloss then it will not. It will give the matte wheels a richer finish.
