i don't post much more of a lurker.... but, i cant seem to find any info on how people do large panels with cquartz. The carpro website says it will stain if i miss a spot with the coating if not done in 10min?. i have seen videos of people taping off half the hood etc... but would this not stain unless perfectly re-taped on the other half when coated? i am planning on coating my wifes suv and it has a large roof if you were wondering.

Do sections right next to each other. Go left to right then back under the left starting one and go right again, repeat. Overlap a bit into each zone. You will be fine.
Like this:
->->->->
->->->->
->->->->

so basically the 10min rule doesn't matter unless i miss a spot correct. also, does it really matter if i do one panel at a time, or can i do the entire car and then buff it all off.

On contrary to other nano coats, with Cquartz you have some time to work.. precious time that give you to coat and absorbs your applying without pressure for staining the surface.
for more safety application, better doing panel by panel, or section by section, rather the whole car.
and always test first on small spot how it goes and how long is the cure time before wipe off.

Adding to what Richy and Avi said... when you wipe off it should come off clean, not oily at all. If oily you need to wait longer and may have applied too thick. If it's your first time applying then it's always best to do 1 small panel before doing the whole car so you can see that it wipes off easily and that you did not apply too thick. feel free to call me at any point why you doing your first panel or during the car with any questions.
