CQUK Appllication: Wipe off with Suede MF or Plush MF?

So I'm using CQUK for the first time today, and I noticed the kit only comes with one large 40cm X 40cm suede MF towel for wiping off the product, however I have been seeing and reading that some people just use a new, plush MF towel instead?

First question is will the 1 40x40 suede MF in the kit work for the whole car, and if not, any downside for using a plush MF? (530 GSM)
 
I don't think 1 suede is enough, the concern with a plush is the crystals will form and ruin the towel
 
I use C1 and EXO and find a flat weave towel works best to remove residue. I usually use 4-6 towels per vehicle and when I'm done with each towel put it in a bucket of water with some microfiber detergent in it.

I do the same with suedes. After a wash, they get turned into glass towels.

Doesn't C1 crystalize making it unsafe to use on paint again? I use edgeless short weave mf towels, but toss them after. Even after using C1, when opening the bottle, be sure the hard crystals around the neck of the bottle does not fall into the bottle.
 
I'll share what I've heard commented upon, as well as my first time experience with using CQuartz UK.

Corey at Carpro, and I believe some of the other pros have said to use the MF Suede Towels to level-smooth CQuartz after application, but I get the strong impression that this is not absolutely set in stone.

As for applying CQuartz, I would say a big definite yes to using the MF Suede, with the Foam Applicator Block. That even many of those applying other brands of Coatings still like the Carpro tools the best.

Now all I did, was I came behind application with a brand new Carpro Orange Boa MF Towel, and these are very plush, and very soft.

After I applied UK, it looked so darn good after a cross hatch application that it looked like I really didn't need to do anything after. All panels looked like smooth glass, no streaks, high spots, or any areas that hadn't flashed.

Like the product went down like I had just sprayed a coat of clear coat onto the paint finish. I did like I say come behind with the Boa Towel, just to not tamper-monkey with tested and proven methods-directions used by others.

Now whether there was some downside to using such a plush MF to do the final wipe, I honestly cannot say? I don't believe such a towel then came along and just considerably removed the precious film coat layer I just put down?

Waited a full hour, then applied Carpro Reload v2013 with another brand new Boa MF and all went perfectly well with that also.

3-4 hours later, after all was done, I washed all MF towels from all the polishing processes, Eraser wipe downs, and the UK and Reload Applications. Those two Boa Towels IMO were just as soft, and luxurious as before I used them. No harm done to them evidently.

I've never had any issues with it crystallizing in the towel, probably due to the short period of time I use the towels and getting them in water immediately after I'm done with it. I'm always careful when reusing the bottles of C1. I usually don't end up reusing it. Started using the 30 ml bottles due to them saying it only kept for two months in the fridge (which I still don't really understand if the bottle is closed tightly) I usually just dispose of the small amount that is left.
 
I assume CQuartz is very similar to C1. The only time I tried CQuartz the bottles I received had the tops of the caps broken off. It looked like the product had sealed it so I tried some...bad idea! AG took care of it, but after that experience I had them send me EXO. lol

Probably so Dave. Maybe some slight differences with minor adjustments to finesse application methods due to carriers-content in such products, and how quickly they flash, meaning how much time you have to play with them before all sets up and initially dries-hardens.

CQ UK was no harder to me, than if I slapped a layer of Armor All on a piece of Black Bumper Trim. Was really surprised. It was all the other work beforehand that murdered me and took its toll!:buffing:
 
LOL same experience with EXO. I had the two coats done within 40 minutes, no sweat. I honestly couldn't see high spots before buffing (EXO apparently requires more of a light buffing technique than mere "levelling"), and the second buff with a super plush purple was slicker'n snot, like a really good sealant.
 
I've heard a lot of people complain about difficulty of EXO. Both EXO and C1 are simple to me. With C1 and EXO you'll know when you need to flip the towel or change the towel out. It starts grabbing a little.
