Cracks and Crevices

I am gonna have to check out Big Lots. I use the same Black Magic brushes as mentioned above, a Meg's brush, and Q-Tips!

The best product you will use for interior cleaning is a quality Boar's Hair brush. I use that with a mixture of liquid dishwashing soap + water (10:1 ratio in a spray bottle). This works on leather as well as plastic and the brush does not damage either.

Next: I took a standard 2" paint brush and cut the bristles back to 1". That will give you a fairly stiff brush for areas like the door sills, pedals, switches, etc.

Finally: a compressed air source with a small nozzle is mandatory for blowing the excess solution into a terry towel and drying.

Many of the Big Lots have reduced prices on the Meguiar Brushes. Reduced further than the normal Big Lots reduction. The slide lock and interior brush that were normally $2.99 at Big Lots (half off manufacturer I believe) are $1.50. Not all of the Big Lots have them reduced though. I've got about 25 of each brush stockpiled.

I've used a non commercial steamer on many interiors without problems. I wouldn't touch the tip to stuff but held back a little the heat is not that great. I don't steam electronics (stereo, gps and such) or clear covers to gauges. I will steam controls and such like window buttons but I hold steamer further away and make a quick pass.
