Scored a griots 6" da off Craigslist for $60 from the info posted it was purchased in 2010 and used twice.. What generation would this be?
I have a porter cable now I picked up this fall, I run a smaller backing plate on it I think it is 4.75 and smallest pads without ordering on here I haven't done yet I've been using is 6" but from reading on here the griots has a more powerful motor in it making correcting easier to accomplish? I use the dewalt 849x if I have to compound and now I use the porter cable to polish for a hologram free finish, what I am trying to mess around with is almost eliminate the use of the rotary when correcting paint if I just have the da on me at the time if I'm in a pinch or forgot the rotary at home..
I mess around for the past year and have turned this interest that caught my eye out of curiosity into a hobby and spare cash on the side if I find someone interested in getting their car done from time to time plus it keeps me busy!
