Critique my pricing system!

Forgot to mention, you should also figure out what your product cost/ vehicle is. This comes with experience, but it is a very important thing to know.

This sounds like one of those, I can 3 stage a car and complete interior in 15 hours. Set your self apart from the rest. And do high end quality work for the correct pricing. Also if your using quality products your not leaving your self with much. You also have to add up running costs, insurance. Take this for ex. Your highest income detail which is $360, times maybe 3 a week if your busy, is $1080 a week. Can this cover running an established business as your sole Income?

I appreciate all of the input. I'll be revising it before I advertise more for the page and have it be an official go-to page for business. Will post back when the changes are made. Expect some more threads soon too, have some interesting jobs to post about.

Thanks again for the help, guys. I love the work, and through school I've preferred having lower prices but quantity of jobs. It feels more consistent, but as I'm wanting to establish myself I'll like having a set pricing scale that works best for everyone.

I updated the page's information. Again, I'm really not trying to charge people $65+/hr because I've always loved the work and since I'm in school I've appreciated being self-employed and still having a successful and consistent income for someone so young. Check out the page if you would like to make suggestions you may have. :)

Packages (Prices listed are for average sized vehicles)

* Times vary depending on condition of the vehicle and the work it requires, no vehicle is exactly the same.

More information about all packages can be given at request

Exterior Detail and Wax - $100

The vehicle is debugged and pre-soaked with a foam cannon using citrus wash to remove any previously applied wax, then hand washed and followed by a clay bar treatment. Premium wax is applied by machine or hand to protect the finish and give it a nice shine.

* Note that clay barring removes all surface bonded contaminants which keep the finish from being completely smooth to the touch. It also helps the wax bond to the paint which enhances the shine and provides longer protection.

Interior Detail - Starting at $80

Entire interior of vehicle is vacuumed (steamed/vacuumed if needed) . Floor and trunk mats removed for steam cleaning, all trim is wiped down and protected including dashboard, door panels, compartments, ash trays, instruments, knobs, and air vents. All glass is cleaned inside and out.

Exterior Detail and Wax + Interior Detail - Starting at $150

All steps from the two packages listed above followed.

Exterior Detail + 1 step correction - Starting at $215

Once the vehicle is washed + fully decontaminated, the paint is treated with a 1 step correction process to remove most minor swirls from the paint. The correction is then followed by premium sealant and wax.

Exterior Detail + 2-step Correction - Starting at $290

All steps from previous packages used + two step correction process to remove more severe imperfections. The process is then followed by premium sealant and wax.

Exterior Detail + 3-step Correction - Starting at $350

This is the mother of all exterior packages. Again, all steps previously listed will be followed, and then most, if not all exterior imperfections will be removed with the 3 step correction process. Followed by premium sealant & wax.

Engine Bay Detail - $30

All electrical components are protected beforehand. The entire engine bay is degreased + wiped/scrubbed with various utensils, followed by a thorough rinsing. All plastics and metal are shined + protected.

Complete Detail + Correction -
Package with 1-step starting at $300
Package with 2-step starting at $360
Package with 3-step starting at $420

Exterior imperfections removed with the chosen paint correction process, and then the interior and engine bay are meticulously treated to bring your car to showroom condition.

Complete Exterior Wet Sanding Correction - Starting at $650
(A few days will be needed to perform this correction)

This is for vehicles with severe "orange peel" and other imperfections. The paint is first wet sanded with very fine sandpaper, and then polished back to a showroom finish. The paint is measured frequently throughout the process. Followed by premium sealant & wax.

Coating - $175

Say goodbye to having to wax your car! With Opti-Coat 2.0 you will never have to wax your car again. After the coating cures, it is permanently bonded to your paint giving it a freshly waxed look. Unlike a wax or sealant, Opti-Coat will not wash or wear off. OC needs to cure for 24 hours before being exposed to the elements.

Other Services :

Headlight/taillight restoration - $35/ea (done by the set, i.e. both headlights/both taillights).
Removes yellowing/fading, most scratches, guaranteed to last. If imperfections return, lights will be re-restored free of charge.

Happy detailing, thanks again for the input! :buffing:
