Critique My Website Please

I like your website very much, I feel that you have covered everything and your pricing is very reasonable.

Looks great and all the info seems to be there, good job!

Glenn....Thank You Very Much!

You are welcome John,
I got laid off from my regular 40 hour per week job and have been detailing cars for friends and neighbors here and there, because they see how well I keep my cars up.
Not to threadjack your thread or anything bit I have the Porter Cable XP7424 and all of the approprate pads,cleaners waxes and sealers and am contemplating on starting my own business full time and your website gave me a good Idea of what I would need to do if I decide to go this route..so I thank you also.:props:

Regards,
Glenn

I liked your website. I am a firm believer that using we or we're is not a good idea. I always feel that whenever you use we or we're you are not planting your brand into visitors minds when they visit your site. Replace we or we're with your J&J Auto Detailing. This will also make your image more professional.

In your gallery can you add before and after shots of the vehicles that you detailed? These shots can show off your work.

You may also want to add a section about the processes and products used and why you use them. This will show how knowledgeable J&J Auto Detailing is.

Do you have a mission statement or a goal. State it it show that J&J Auto Detailing is an up and coming company. Be proud of what you accomplish and plan on what you want to accomplish.

Bets of luck. Remember this is only my opinion. I am not putting you down or over critiquing your site. Hopefully I have given J&J Auto Detailing some ideas on how to improve.

The print on the FAQ page is really small and hard to read. You may find it is easier to make a buck if you have less prices on your site. Over all it looks good and gets the point across.

Overall, I like it. I'm a big fan of the color scheme.

Straight up feedback:
- Center the google maps thing at the bottom of the homepage or otherwise align all of the pictures more evenly.
- There is a disproportionate amount of "white space" (or in this case "black space") above the navigation bar to the right of your logo. IMO it would look better if the larger logo was stretched across the entire top OR you filled the white space to more evenly match the formatting of the rest of your site. You could, IDK, add more contact info or your mission statement or a slogan up there... maybe even a "quote from the owner" or something. Just so it fills things in more evenly.
- Add more pictures to your site. You will find if you implement analytics data on your site, people shopping you don't spend enough time to read through every single thing on each page. Pictures can convey meaning much faster than a paragraph of words and allow potential customers to key in on what they are searching for.

I really like the photo gallery page! I want to do something like that on my site where you can click to open larger resolution pics but I'm still trying to figure out how to implement the html...

Good job! :props:

Thanks to all! Some great advice! I will be making adjustments....

I just Google searched your business and your website did not come up. There are 7 other business with the same name but none of them were yours.

I also Google searched auto detailing for your city and state and your website did not show up.

Your site can be great but people need to find it. Remember the web is a huge place and you want to make sure you can be found.

I'm not sure if you have published it yet but when you do make sure people can find you.

All the cars on your site are "done" Get some before and afters of the same car. This way I can see what your capable of doing to my car.

Are you using "Frames" on your website? If so, search engines have a tough time with them.

try {
$$(
'#commentArea iframe').each(function(iframe) {
iframe.style.minHeight =
'410px';
});
}

Gray fonts on dark backgrounds can be hard to read on some displays.

Consider reordering..

company name
catch phase or summary: Professional Automotive Detailing at Affordable Prices
Location served: Great Wilmington area, mobile/fixed?

If the above is at the top of your page, not sure why the smaller biz card is needed in upper left corner too.

then start in on the rest.

I would make the logo's (Griot's, etc) smaller on the front page or move to the services page. BTW, If you click them it shows a smaller logo not larger. You can list the key services you offer exterior / interior on the front page where you have the product brands.

You may want to explain why your services are better than the $6 to $10 mechanical car wash in the Q&A page.
