This car is one of 2 that I had lined up for the long weekend. It's an '04 Infiniti G35. It's owned by a local Crown attorney, so I wanted to make sure he was pleased (not a good idea to piss off a prosecuting lawyer

). It was in decent condition, although it needed correction. I chose wool for my tool. It also had numerous dings in it so I contacted my PDR guy to come by and do both cars. The wheels on this car were a challenge (and y'all know how much I harp on the importance of wheels) so I got to use my new sample of Megs Wheel Brightener (thanks AGAIN to Wolfpacker!) after the DG wheel cleaner failed to do the trick (I wasn't surprised, the barrels were nasty). I also did something unusual for the polish stage as well. Normally after using UCCL or SIP, I follow it up with 106 and a gray or blue pad to jewel the paint. This time, I used DG 501 with a green LCC pad and it really produced nice results. I used my steam cleaner on the mats too, but wasn't able to completely remove one nasty stain. I had pre-treated with Folex too..oh well. This was the first real attempt for me at headlight correction, and boy did they need it.

The Process:

Wheels/Tires:
DG 821 followed by Megs WB
Tires with ARO
Wells cleaned with Fantastic APC
Wells dressed with Adams US
Tires dressed with DP gel

Paint:
Pre-soak with Gilmour foam gun
Numerous paint touch ups
Clay with Riccardo (lots of tar on the paint)
UCCL with 2300 rpm Rotary with wool pad
DG 501 with Rotary and green pad, pyramid cycle
DG 601 by hand
DG 105 applied/removed by hand
AW after curing period.

Headlights:
Wet sand with 2000 grit 3m paper
UCCL with a/m Rotary
DG 681 (Plastic lens polish) via Rotary, white pad

Exterior:
Glass with IG
Trim with Black Again

Interior:
Mats pre-treated with Folex, cleaned with Woolite:water, vacuumed after
Steam cleaned subsequently
Plastic/Leather treated with 303 Aerospace.
Interior carpeting steam cleaned

great job!!!Did you use any of the nice products I see in the trunk?

Nice job Richy. You need to put more than 2 stripes on those mats.

No, the only product was the Eagle one. It's not mine; it was left for him. It would explain why the face of the wheels was in good shape though.

Thanks Rsurfer..I was experimenting with how wide to make the stripes. I agree, I think that was too wide. I wanted one wide enough to encompass the Infiniti logo though.

Yes it looks just as good over here as it dose on DB...You do awesome work my friend....:applause:
