Awaiting order on 2015 crystal red stingray. Any suggestion on polish? Thanks in advance

i have a crystal red 2011 grand sport convertible. It is a garage queen so i really dont have to polish it but i can tell you pinnacle souvern is a really nice wax for the color. Have to tell you i get a lot of compliments on the color more than the car itself.lol good choice good luck with it

I would not polish it unless it really needs it . you can always use a paint cleaner to get it ready for your favorite wax. as far as wax fusion would be a good choice or maybe wdgps, if you are looking for an easy to use sealant. post some pics of that ride when you get it . there are tons of waxes and sealant choices, I just threw out out a couple that I have found super easy to use with some durability.

You probably won't know for sure the condition of the paint until you have washed, deconned/clayed... and then inspected the paint with a swirl-finder light source.

But assuming the paint's condition is acceptable (with just very minor marring from the Claying-step)...
I'll suggest to use one of the following combinations:

•Meguiar's:
-M205 Ultra Finishing Polish; or: Ultimate Polish
-M26 Hi-Tech Paste/Liquid Car Wax; or: M21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0

•3M:
-Imperial Hand Glaze
-Perfect-It Show Car Paste/Liquid Wax

•Finish Kare:
-303 Foam Pad Glaze
-1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax

Note:
If the paint inspection-step yields more marring/defects than what is acceptable...Please don't hesitate to post for further suggestions from AGO forum members.

Hopefully the dealership hasn't swirled the car out for you...

Lots of talk about this in this thread lately...

DISO = The Dealership Installed Swirl Option

and be sure to read this one and do what it recommends....

DON'T WASH CAR !!!!!!!!!!!

After you get your new car home, read this and then on the next sunny day follow the steps...

How To Detail Your Brand New Car by Mike Phillips

As for a suggestion on a polish?

Well first you inspect the paint to try to determine the true condition, this could be all over the board if you have not specifically told the dealership NOT to wash it or detail it so wait till you see it in the sun and then inspect it.

If you're lucky... that's a big if... then it never hurts to give a brand new car a fresh polishing and waxing and then afterwards maintain the finish regularly and it will always look like brand new.

We used Pinnacle Advanced Compound followed by Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish on these two cars and of course, applied them by machine. If you don't have a machine you can hand apply the polish but for best results you're going to want to get a machine. Even a simple Porter Cable 7424XP can get results like these,

You can find the Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish as well as the Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax here,

Pinnacle Natural Brilliance

These two products can and will keep the paint on your car looking new.
