When folks ask for advice on a buffer I rarely see the Cyclo mentioned? Is this due to size, fixed RPM or other issues? BTW, I have one and I am a "newbie".
 
I have one and would not part with it but Cyclo has been resting on their laurels for decades while other manufacturers have been moving ahead. Now they have a variable speed model which is a good thing but the overall design has been somewhat overshadowed by the Flex 3401 forced rotation and others. The price difference is little between the two and the Flex is considerably more powerful. You have a good machine there, hang on to it. Have you used carpet brushes on the Cyclo yet? It's quite amazing.
 
In my limited experience using it all I can say is that at times it is a bit large to fit in all the places. I bought a Griots's 3" to compliment it.
 
I love mine. I have carpet brushes. I have run into spots where I need to hand polish but these are spots I would have had to do by hand anyway. I have the pro version multi speed but always use the top speed. I cant think of a reason why I would ever trade it in for something else.
 
I had 2 cyclos until one fell to the bottom of a lake :/ thanx to an ex employee :mad: I love the cyclo and use it everyday and will be buying another one very soon. :dblthumb2: for CYCLO!

The carpet brushes are amazing. I thought I would swap back and forth between brushes and pads but I have kept the brushes on the Cyxlo and use other machines for polishing. It works great on floor mats but has some limitation on carpet in a tight space.
