D114 dilution?

I think the bottle says 1 to 128 (1 oz per gallon)

Is there any problem using this ratio for rinseless wash when the car is pretty clean? (like easier to streak or harder to buff off)

I have seen the 1:256 posted a lot for lightly soiled cars, is there any problems doing 1:128 anyway besides using more product. I wanted to be on safe side of having a more lubricated wash solution especially for the lower sides of the car.

Also, I wasn't able to purchase too many pieces of high end MF towels, they cost too much and I wanted to try them out, so I got 5. Does it make sense to use the nicer 5 for horizontal panels and then try to get away using cheaper grade MF on the doors?

I like to use Meguiars D114 at
-1:100 for waterless
-1:200 for rinseless

With right technic and defect free microfiber, it should be fine.

1:128 is fine as long as product usage isn't an issue for you. 1:256 works fine unless car is very dirty. What I do...I pre-spray the panel with 1:128 and follow up with the normal rinseless procedure at 1:256.

How many do rinseless washes at 1:128 rather than 1:256?I'm one to ere on the side of making sure the surface is well-lubricated, but I don't want that to translate into streaking and excess buffing.

I do rinseless w/D114 @ 1:128
I don't have a problem with it streaking or being difficult to dry.

5 towels folded in 4s is 20 clean sides of towel...if ur car isn't very dirty anyway that should be MORE than enough towels. That 1 wipe per side of towel is major overkill IMO. 1/256 is the ratio I use too and I also pre-soak with 1/128

You could only prove that to me by going outside and taking a close-up picture, in the Sun of the car you use this method on.

You are going to wash a load of towels anyway...why use the "Skimp & Swirl Method"?

That's my rationale. The towels have one purpose: my car. Going in the washer one way or another sooner or later!

Might be. But, it's no skin off my back and I spend no time cleaning the towel or reintroducing it back into the solution.
