Long story short, car belongs to a college kid who neglected the heck out of it. Parents called me up to fix it and that's what I did.
Wash:
Rinse
Awesome APC on all lower panels and front end
Foamed with C/G Citrus wash and APC
Ulti-mitt, D2G soap in bucket, short handle body brush
Awesome APC on front end again
Foamed Again
Rinse
Sprayed car down with QD (helps drying)
Dryed
Wheels/Tires/Wells:
Wheels got Meg's Wheel brightener, used grout sponge to clean
Tires pre-treated with Awesome APC, brushed... Dressed D2G tire dressing
Wells pre-treated Awesome APC, powerwashed, dressed with AA tire foam
Paint Care:
DG 105 via UDM and Orange lo-pro pad... speed 4.5
Aquawax wipe down
Other:
Trim dressed D2G dressing

Interior:
Cleaned out all the crap
Vaccuum
Apc wipe down.. used MF's, swissvax wheel brush and a stiff brush
RL interior dressing
Floormats and carpet pre-treated with mix of RL extractor solution, C/G Lightening and Folex... then extracted with 210 degree water
C/G odor neutralizer

Very impressive, I think that is the best interior detail I've seen from you. It looks like it rolled off the showroom floor. The corner to corner lines look pretty sweet. And of course the exterior is no slouch either, the white is much brighter now. However, how dare you leave the Ulti-mitt on the ground!

Also, when using the QD when drying, do you find that your WW towels become less absorbant after using the QD for a while? I used to use Eagle 1 wax as you dry with a WW and it 'clogged' the towel. After that I used a different QD w/out wax with a different towel with similar experiences. I have since given up using a QD while drying. Just curious about your experiences...

Man wow, thanks alot.... and I had to let the ulti mitt dry out!!! atleast it wasn't facin on the red side:D

to be honest with you I just started doing it about a week ago... and all my drying towels get washed once or twice a week and I have about 6 of them... I rotate btwn cars. With a spray wax I could see ur problem, but QD's are more water based than anything, so as it dries not too much is gettting left behind in the towel

Yeah, I guess some QDs may react differently than others depending on their make up. I really like the concept of using a QD to prevent marring during drying. I had my guzzler act up on me last week and the last time I used it was with ONR, I wonder if that is detrimental to WW as well... I doubt it though, I did a good soak, wash and rinse (with vinager added) this week with it and hopefully that'll revitalize it. Once again great detail...

As always you do great work...Man love the new look on the mats, that's cool...Thanks for sharing...

oh, those college kids...never keep their cars clean...great job detailing it up!!!

nice results ... I would have sprayed the entire car from top to bottom with P21S Total Wash and revisited later, thats just plain nasty !

I know it's forbidden... but the citrus wash from C/G combined with the APC really broke down the dirt very well, along with the splatter stain on the rear driver side panel... be it I foamed it twice, but that was just for kicks

GREAT Job on a nasty car....the interior reminds me of my daughter's Suzuki Vitara...a 4 wheel trash bin (I've given up trying to convince her to keep it clean).

Super job Sir! I like the way you and some others get those "Hoover" lines in the carpeting.

Great job..Love the diagonal mats.
Living proof that a kid shouldn't have a nice car until he/she can pay for it

Hey finally, a volvo s40 detail. I've needed to ask you, what did you do to clean up those t-tec cloth seats? I mean it's not a leather, so I don't know what to use on those seats?

Also, the grout sponge, did you use it just for the wheels? And where did you pick it up? Home Depot?

Last by not least, wow, great job.

Great detail job!

I never thought about using grout sponge for wheels. I don't think I could bear to use my beloved sea sponge for anything but the body and windows.

superb job well done..
:D

i just use an interior brush to get the lines. alot easier to manuver than a vac

well I pre-treated them with a mix of RL:C/G extractor solutions and some folex, then used my hot water extractor. If you don't have an extractor, i would try Blue-Coral Dri Foam... you can get it at wal-mart

Great detail job!

the grout sponge works great... i cut the thing into like 6 pieces, looks like steak fries. I got it from a local brick company... the ones at home depot had some kind of funny lookin white stuff on the back of it.
