I'm considering buying a DA. I've settled on a GG or Meguire's. I know there are many PC 7424xp's out there, but I don't like the vibration reports I'm seeing.

Are the backing plates that come with these DA's okay? Do I need to order, or should I order different backing plate sizes? What about adapters and such? I don't mind buying what I may end up needing.

I say gg6 it is . many good opinions on gg. I have gg and the flex and could not comment on the megs. there seems to be not much talk on the megs . gg will come with a 6 inch bp to use with 6.5 pads . now I use and lots others 5.5 pads and then u will need to get a lc 5" bp then . no adapters needed

Just keep in mind that if you ever comptemplate buying the new Megs DA microfiber correction system you will need a Megs DA backing plate to ensure you don't destroy the MF pads which some guys are reporting ...that have not followed Megs recommendations.

You just need the newer shorter "hook & loop" style backing. I didn't notice a difference between the Megs BP that came with the Meg's DA system and a LC BP.
