Damn OCD

I just did this 2014 Caddy and I learned something about myself, I could NEVER own a black car, I kept wiping this one down until the customer came to pick it up. Yes he loved it , but as he drove away I said to myself "I could have done more "
 
The good thing is he wants me to do 4 more of his cars and yes all black

I never told you guys what happened 2 hrs b 4 pick up. Im leaving 4 the store and who pulls up yes the landscaper O CRAP I asked to stay far away from the black caddy its a customers he said " I'll come back 2 morow and do that side" ( we are in a little condo community so I gave him a bottle of water and said thanks, well I got home and damn it the black car was full of grass. So yes I called the office and yelled, I rewashed it and he loved it ( I did love seeing it beeding from the wax I applied.
 
Doing our black daily driver (well, been park for a while now) car right now. It has terrible paint to start with. Combine that with trying to get that deep black back = going nuts. Solution? Just buy more product! After a week of working on it, Wife says she will just catch it on fire if I don't stop obsessing.....
 
It's a love/hate relationship with black paint!

You can always do more; did you....
AIO the door jambs?
AIO or seal the wiper arms?
Chase down every RID that was safe to remove?
Lube/dress door seals?
Edge every panel and raised body line?

Customer was clearly happy, you're getting more work out of it, and you (hopefully) got paid fairly for the work you did; no shame in any of that.

When you're trying to make money, you're OCD needs to be kept in-check as a function of your market. There is a relatively small market for full-on OCD time and cost but once you're in it, it would be plenty to keep a guy busy in the right location; back off your OCD a bit and the market opens up a lot.
