Danger of dealer "free" washing

When my car goes into Mercedes i present them with a letter and make the Service Consultant sign it. It states that he is responsible if my car has swirls when I get it back. It has a conditions report area for him to initial and a fee schedule for rejeweling my paint. I don't have any problems and it seems like my service is always done very quickly !

My favorite was the Dealer who used workers that were in rehab and they washed vehicles as a fundraiser and requirement of there rehabilitation. They would finish Drying a car with the almost black oily Chamois and then throw it on the pavement until the next vehicle was ready for a wipe down !
