Dan's Detail: 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera S

Was working last night and this guy came in, asked if we knew anyone fore detailing and of course, I raised my hand. Set it up for today. He bought the Souveran, Black Onyx Gel, Pinnacle Shampoo, and a few MF.

He made it very clear that he only wanted this thing protected, so unfortunately, no swirl removal, etc. The car only have 7k on the clock...

Washed:
Used the Pinnacle Shampoo and the SchMitt. This is a pretty good product, suds up pretty good, but for some reason, still doesnt compare to the Gold Class wash. Then again, this is the wash to use if you dont want to strip waxes.

Wheels:
I used P21s's Wheel spray. It worked like magic in detaching the contaminatns, but a brush was definitely needed. The wheels were disgusting, and looking at the pictures below, you will see these wheels SUCKED to clean. Either way, I took them off, cleaned behind and they came out great.

Dry:
Guzzler, of course

Wax:
Souveran with it's applicator and some Cobras.

Windows:
Diamondite's Spray Cleaner and a MF. Works great.

Overall, the car came out great AND Ill be going back Friday for his daughter's Audi A4 and his wife's BMW M5.

crap i spelled Detail wrong...
I fixed it for you, and talk him into a little treatment with XMT, car came out great, you did a wonderful job, but looks like he ahs been drying it with his beach towel. Thank goodness he found you, that car is too sweet not to be taken care of.:applause:

Looks good bambo to bad you didn't get a chance to remove the swirls but still looks good.

Oh yea, is that your garage? Becuase if it is looks really nice. Nice mug shot buddy lol

Thanks for sharing

Nice work! Hopefully he lets you fix the swirl marks on it, otherwise that car is purrrrfect.

Great job! Too bad he didn't let you take out some of the swirls for him.

Looks good. I love 911's and this one looks awesome. You also need to have him protect the top. I think it is 303 that makes a convertible top cleaner and protectant.

I mentioned to him that I suggested having the swirls removed, whether it be by me or anyone and he said that he will consider it. I think he's a little apprehensive about the idea because it has been only 2 weeks out of the showroom.

His A4 and the M5 are totally destroyed in regards to swirls. He is ready to let me attack them with the PC when he has a few days for the cars to be sitting around. As for Friday, he was wants the same deal for at least one of the others, and I'm pretty sure he has already chosen the Audi.

Thanks for the comments guys. I do feel y'all about the swirls, but I don't want to push him into it.

Nica--- Nope, that's his garage.

Surfer-- I went to his place to do it, I'm sure you're familiar with Seasons... he lives in there... just past Spanish River High when coming from Glades.

Looks great! I love those wheels with the drilled brake pads. I didn't realize that Pinnacle Body Shampoo doesn't strip the wax. Are there other soaps that don't? Like DP Extreme Foam or PB Slick & Super?

Great Job! Porsche their is no substitute!
Allway liked that line in Risky Business!

The Dp Extreme Foam, I elive, is made more geared for the foam gun. The Other DP Shampoo, though, works just as good, imo.

Thanks guys.

Nice job on the Porsche. Maybe you can get it again and take out the swirls. Post pics of the A4 and M5 when you get them done.

Sorry to off topic but the Pinnacle Body Shampoo is really gentle on the paint, I purchased a big jug of it and really like it. So gentle and smooth. Just thought I'd share my experience with you Reddwarf.

:iagree:, my new favorite.

That is a very nice job on the Porsche for not doing any paint correction. Looks to me like you were able to hide some swirls!
