Dave Bowman
On Tuesday, January 10th, Dave Bowman will be my guest for a brand new episode of "What's in the Garage".
Dave Bowman was a co-host on the popular Two Guys Garage television show airing on the SPEED Channel. He also co-created Shadetree Mechanic and Crank & Chrome, two weekly half-hour television series devoted to automotive do-it-yourselfers. Dave, along with show co-host Sam Memmolo, developed the technical content for both shows.
Dave had many media and marketing accomplishments in his twenty-year tenure at AlliedSignal, Inc. Highlights include: WGBH's Last Chance Garage car care television series on PBS from 1982 to 1984 and Hidden Heroes of Racing on TNN from 1985 to 1989.
As advertising manager for Autolite Spark Plugs, he developed dozens of motorsports-oriented television commercials including the famous dancing spark plug commercial set to the James Brown epic, "I feel good".
In 1995, he developed the first live broadcast of the Knoxville Nationals (the Daytona 500 of sprint car racing) on TNN. The success of this broadcast has resulted in a series of live World of Outlaws events being telecast on TNN.
Because of his years of inside experience as an ASE certified and professional Indy 500 mechanic and television commentator, Dave knows how to produce interesting automotive performance stories and projects. He highlights personalities unrecognized by most other television producers.
Dave is currently the co-host of Motorhead Garage with his buddy Sam Memmolo.
Cars tentatively scheduled for Tuesday morning, January 10th, 2012
Braden's 1939 Graham Spirit of Motion aka Shark Nose
Braden also owns,
Steve's 1959 Oldsmobile - Steve also has the Convertible Twin to this car...
Don's 1956 Ford Crown Victoria with the very cool glass roof
Gary's 1940 Chevy Coupe
Besides all the other customizations Gary also is running the rear fender skirts which you rarely ever see on these old Chevy coups and it gives the car a real cool look...
